Fun for all ages
I've only done a couple pages with my son, but we like it so far. It's easy enough for my sorta artsy, just-turned-8-year-old son, but still fun and thought-provoking enough for me to enjoy as well. I'd recommend for arty moms (or whomever, really) and kids.

Perfect!
So so so obsessed with this little journal. My child is 5 and just learning how to read, write , and spell. I love this because she can share her thoughts and feelings with me without getting discouraged. I’m also having tons of fun drawing with her also. We draw in it daily and it gives us our one on one time.

Hoped for More
I was hoping this would be more of a guided "fun" doodle book. For example, mom draws the head shape of creature and then the child adds the eyes, etc. This book has a nice concept for those that want to have a little more meaning behind their drawing and want to journal.

I LOVE this
I absolutely love this. I have a side by side journal with my 7 year old son we use, but it's a bit advanced for my 5 year old daughter. So I found this. And as she loves coloring and doing mommy&me coloring sheets, I thought this would be perfect. It will be. Though it is sketching and drawing and not writing, it's still a bit advanced for a young child. Definitely moreso for 3rd grade and up I would say. However, they're are still several pages that she can do at this age. So we do little by little every couple months so that as she grows we can do the more advanced ones. This will definitely be something to cherish for many years.

Brilliant idea and great prompts
My six year old and I both love to make art but run out of ideas. This book allows us to work side by side and gives creative prompts. She’s a bit on the young side to really get all the prompts but it helps to start introducing concepts she isn’t familiar with yet such as private vs public self. We both enjoy it and it gives us a way to carve out some special quiet bonding time. Also allows us to learn about each other. It is high quality binding, nice size pages, and has inviting page design that is pleasing to look at (youthful and fun doodles and patterns). Will definitely repurchase for my younger daughter as she gets older.

AMAZING
just received this yesterday. what a wonderful journal. I hadnt realized the prompts were a little hard for my 4 year old but i was able to rephrase the questions for her which gave us lots of extra time to discuss the page were on. she absolutely LOVES that its just between us and that we get time to connect at the end of the day. this is our 1st journal & love it so much!! if I was able to preview the book more i wouldve waited till at least she was 6/7 but thats ok!!! shes very receptive of it even at 4 (:

Sweet with great illustrations
Such a fun and sweet book to share with my daughter (6) who loves art and special “mommy and me” time.

Boring
This book is incredibly boring. The tasks are unimaginative. "Draw the most meaningful thing you have done", "draw your emotions" ugh... so boring. There's also very little cooperation with the child. You basically draw your thing on one page and child their thing on another. No connection between the two. Honestly, a simple coloring book creates so much more conversation and connection than this. The quality of the print and paper is however very good. And that's the only good thing in this book.

Beautiful book and encourage conversation. Ink goes through the page though.
My 6 year old was very excited to complete the book with me. It sparked conversations with great details that I have been hoping for.I gave four stars instead of five because the pages are not good quality enough. My daughter's colouring pens get through to the back of the pages making the next page a bit unsightly. In the future we will have to use colour pencils instead.

Lovely book!
I really love this. I was a bit dubious about buying after only seeing 1 review had been written, but I'm glad that I did. It has sparked some lovely conversations between me and my 5 year old daughter. Some of the suggestions were a bit complicated for her, but it didn't really matter as we still touched on things that we wouldn't usually chat about. It's a lovely book to strengthen connection.
