WALNEW Protective Case for 6" Kindle Paperwhite 2012-2017, Auto Sleep/Wake

Love my new paperwhite case. Took me a while to find one to fit until I realized I needed to look up which “generation” I owned. Once I did that it was a piece of cake. Fits perfect and I like the turquoise color.

I like the design and it fits perfectly. It does turn on when the case is opened and off when closed. Time will tell if that feature will continue to perform as expected. It doesn’t add much to the overall weight so it’s still lightweight. The on/off button is accessible as is the charging port. I have had the older reader for some time and didn’t bother to get the case until I decided to get my 6 year old granddaughter her own reader. When buying any accessories for electronics you definitely need to watch the measurements since things may look alike but they can be off just enough to ruin your day. It may say 6 inches but that’s just the screen size. The casings may have changed so go by year and model to get the right fit. Case in point: we have a Samsung 32” TV and I decided to get a 32” Fire TV for my room. I don’t know how Amazon’s measurements work but it wasn’t even close to the same size, being smaller than the Samsung. All in all it’s a nice, functional case.

I was in dire need of a good case/cover for an older Kindle I was now using again. After finally figuring out how to find the CORRECT SIZE (*AMAZON needs to make this much, much easier and not rely on the various sellers to figure that out on their own) - I ordered this one. When it arrived I was thrilled to discover that it: 1. fit perfectly 2. is well constructed and protects my Kindle 3. it is very good looking as well as functional. Excellent buy - excellent product - arrived quickly - fits perfectly. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

After comparing the reviews on this case to more expensive leather cases, I decided to go with this one. Very happy with my choice. It is lightweight and provides the necessary protection for my Kindle paperwhite at a great price. My major concern on purchasing this case was that it is made of PU leather, so I wasn't sure if I would like the quality and texture. Hoping it wouldn't feel like cheap plastic. It does not have the heavy sturdy texture of leather, but more of a soft oily texture similar to that of hands immediately after rubbing in hand lotion. Sounds odd, but it's nice yet not slippery. The inside of the cover feels like a piece of thin suede. The cover wraps around the Kindle nicely, so it is very comfortable to read in an open book fashion or wrapped. Some reviewers made the comment that the Black Flower design arrived as dark blue, however my case is definitely black and white. The design is elegant. I haven't noticed any cracking or fading. I believe I will get my money's worth from this case, and so glad I saved the money.

The photos of this cover don't do it justice. I got the Van Gogh Almond Blossoms cover, and it's gorgeous. The color is perfect, and the cover has a pearlescent sheen to it that I wasn't expecting, so I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened it. That's just looks. Function-wise, my new Paperwhite fits perfectly, and the auto on/off works great. The cover is just as thin and light as promised. I do have a little trepidation about the tab on the top cover that goes over the magnet. It doesn't have the same stiff interior the rest of the cover has, so I can see it beginning to bend or become misshapen with lots of use. I just got it today, so obviously, that hasn't happened yet. It just seems like it might based on how soft and thin that tab is. If that does happen, I'm concerned with how it might affect its ability to stay closed. We'll see. By the way, I saw another reviewer complain that they had to buy a replacement because the spine faded. I would not replace a cover just because the spine faded. If the magnet had stopped working or fallen out, or the plastic frame the Kindle sits in had broken—those things would make me question its quality. Sure, you might buy it because it looks pretty (and it does), and you want it to keep looking pretty. But it's like getting upset that your luggage is scratched while traveling. Its purpose is to hold and protect the belongings inside it, which is also the purpose of any Kindle cover. As long as it keeps doing that well, I won't mind if the spine fades.

It was a nice case but...it ended up not fitting my old Kindle, which was just a little too big for it.

I have an old kindle paperwhite from about 2014 or so, I dont know what year or model exactly. I found it recently and my tween daughter has taken up using it so I wanted a cheap but cute cover to replace the worn out, plain black case I had it in. This actually arrived next day as promised and it fit perfectly! this is a hard case, I thought it would be like covered cardboard but it's sort of a plastic shell. Even better! Very pleasantly surprised at the quality for the price. The device popped right in, great fit.

Excellent quality, especially for the price. Kindle snaps in tightly, securely. Color is lovely.

Pretty! The texturing is a really clever touch. And scores a 100% in functionality too.

I have bought this around one year back, It is still the same. Very very good product and there is no scratch or anything even today.
