These are the right kind of nippers for thick or oddly shaped toenails, and they're certainly built to last. Unfortunately, they're unusable.Those wide spaced, shallow depressions in the handles don't do a thing for traction. The handles were constantly slipping out of my hand as I tried to cut my nails. They should have been knurled (hatch-cut textured) or covered in the same sanitary non-slip material that Victorinox uses on their knives.Moreover, the handles don't apply enough leverage to cut easily with one hand. A one-handed cut is what's needed, since the other hand is often required to hold the foot in position for a safe cut. The handles need to be longer or some sort of gearing in the joint (like some pruning shears have) would have been helpful.I did manage to hack my toenails back, but the edge was very ragged. These clippers don't provide the fine control needed to get a smooth cut, and filing with an emory board isn't enough to repair the jags.Not recommended.

Very njce, quality and ease of function. You dont want to loose these. Comes with pouch to keep sharp point from am açcident.

Much superior to traditional clipper, and much higher quality than same type of clipper found at typical drug store. Works on my bad toenails really well. One can be more aggressive removing nails than with most clippers - so one should take care not to cut too far into toe nail area, which can occur easily if not careful.

This is truly a great product. It is easy to use and I was able to get rid of a few ingrown toe nails that the other clippers couldn't get. It worked perfectly, and the quality is excellent. The best Toenail Nipper I ever bought. Comfortable handles, easy to use.
