All of these five star reviews... I hate to sully it, but it didn't work for me. I took the first one out, flipped the switch and no change. I thought maybe it had to be installed to work so put them in. Nope. That one was just defective. The next one held pretty strongly, but it became evident pretty quickly that this would not work for my drawers. There's a pretty big gap between where I could put the hook and the top of the drawer. Not sure how to explain, but I took pictures. Since I had to put the adhesive on higher, half of it was hanging off and then of course the surface area was not enough to hold it in place. I let it sit 24 hours. Still no dice. Just didn't work for us, but looks like it would probably work for most.Two stars because when it works, it looks like it works well. I was apprehensive about the magnet working, because of the double thickness of our drawers, but it did work. So, if that's a concern, you might be fine.

After installing these and using them for a few weeks, I must admit to being impressed with their design and effectiveness. When I had toddlers in the house, I installed locks that allowed the door to slightly open before having to squeeze two prongs together, and was delighted to remove them because of the hassle they posed. We no longer have toddlers to "test" the durability of the adhesive on these locks (though the items have holes to allow attachment with screws should the adhesive not stick to older, or more grainy, wood), but the adhesive alone has effectively prevented a curious dog from accessing garbage or cleaning solutions located under the sink. Visitors have accidentally tried to open the doors, only to find them secured, and then commented favorably on the lock design after using the "key" to unlock the mechanism.

We just moved and have two young children. We always try to be careful about safety and what the kids can and can not have access to. I've spent hours in the past setting up the house to baby proof it and it was very frustrating. With these BabeeSafe Magnetic Cabinet and Drawer locks, it saved me immensely. Supremely easy to use and really well made. Plus, the magnets are strong; strong enough to keep the little kids from getting into it. And unlike the trigger type, I really like the way the cabinets and drawers remain flush, as opposed to a few inch release. In short, if you too are trying to protect your children and have cabinets and drawers you don't want them to get into, this is an extremely good choice and very easy to install. I highly recommend them for caretakers with young kids.

These things are awful. We originally bought the more expensive ones that are a different brand and they worked great. We only needed a couple more so we went with a smaller pack for cheaper. We installed them and one side of the cabinet held for a couple of days, the other side held for about a week and a half. Go buy the more expensive ones. We are familiar with this kind of lock and they were installed properly, but the whole product from the adhesive part to the lock breaks quickly.

If you have teens in the house and want to lock up your liquor, this is a tricky way to secure your cabinets. Just don't let your teens see you use it to open!

I purchased these for our home as we have a new Grand Son and he is getting into everything. We used to have the old ugly drawer locks but our new kitchen, my wife would only allow these. I have installed them and they work perfect!

Install with screws if you want these to hold up to extreme pressure. The double-sided sticky tape will not hold to extreme pressure. These also take some adjusting to get a good fit.
