Amma's Sari: CBCA Notable Book

Such a sweet story about finding pride in her difference
I love this book because it tells a story about how a little girl struggles with the unwanted whispers and stares towards her mother and what she is wearing. Through this, the little girl learns to love and accept the way her mother dresses. It helps her connect to her culture and embrace it! I know many second-generation migrants can relate to this story. This is a must have book for your school library classroom library and personal library.
