Don't let the lightweight kid you!This mic pole is a sturdy piece of equipment....even with a mic attached to the end, it's all aluminum construction still provides durable weightlessness.Excellent product for the price.On a side note, don't forget a standard mic stand reduces fitting for your mount to 1/4".

not really usable for use with a shotgun blimp
unfortunately the locking mechanisms for the telescoping feature are terrible - this thing just spins around. it’s SOMEWHAT stable with loads of gaff tape locking everything in place.it’s also super flimsy and bends a ton when fully extended.however, this thing is super cheap and i didn’t really expect it to do a great job. i just needed something cheap that i could overnight for a shoot. it might be okay with lighter mic systems, but my 2lb blimp seems to be too much for it to handle.
