Informative
Used for my 13k word law school thesis paper. Got some decent citations from the text, so it served its purpose for me.

Interesting as far as text books go
Interesting book. I purchased in for a college course. Not something I would have ordinarily purchased if it weren't a requirement for my course but over all actually a pretty good read.

So so
Dated (BTK was not yet caught when written) and manages to make a fascinating subject almost boring. Still, if you can get for a low price worth a look.

Great Book, But for That Price?
Extreme Killing is a terrific read, but not over $1000! I read the 2005 edition, which has been updated and probably the later editions would be the one to get. However, this book is great as it is in-depth about the different killings, both famous and infamous. The part that really got to me started on page 172, in which it detailed Gene Simmons from Arkansas and his annihilation of his family and extended family around Christmas 1987, as well as others in the city that angered him. If you have a loving family, this sequence will sadden you. The book also looks into the psychological aspects of the killers, as well as what society has done to them and the victims' memories.

Good book, easy to understand. I bought it as it was recommended by my course but it was an informative book.

very well written. clear and concise. Too much depth at times, but it is necessary to understand how heinous the crimes were that these people committed.
