Excellent Quality and Performance
This is my first Movo product and it doesn't disappoint. I took it out for a two hour seaside session and was overly pleased by the ease, quality, and performance of the gimbal. A few weeks prior I was photographing surfers and some wildlife. I decided to purchase a gimbal after holding a DSLR and 600mm lens following that session. The gimbal easily holds my Canon 90D + Sigma 150-600mm lens. The quick release knobs, made from aluminum, are easy to operate with small rotations for hold release . The horizontal and vertical rotation operation is smooth. During my research I noticed that there isn't much difference in weight between carbon fiber and aluminum gimbals, yet the weight of the Movo gimbal is good. The Arca-Swiss plate did come loose from the tripod collar on one occasion, requiring that I tighten the plate bolt to the collar even more. So, my first experience was great. Hand fatigue gone. Greatly improved stabilization. Allowed me to photograph some long distance subjects with ease.

Works fine, excellent value
I already have a couple of gimbal heads for use with telephoto lenses, but I had a problem using them with my Olympus OM-D-E1X body, which has a built-in, nonremovable battery grip. Unless the gimbals with a level swing-arm are set with the cradle very high up, the bottom of the camera body hits the side of the gimbal head, restricting movement. So I thought that in this case, a side-mounting gimbal would work better. This turned out to be true. The MOVO side-mount gimbal is a real bargain. It is made with carbon fiber and the controls are quite adequately sturdy for my purposes (I have no idea whether they would withstand a trip to the frozen Arctic or other rough uses). Once the lens is balanced properly, the camera-lens combination operates in the "weightless" manner that has made gimbal heads all the rage with telephoto photographers. The only very slight, nitpicky quibble I have is that I would have preferred that the tension level of the controls tend toward a bit tighter. I like my gimbal to move freely but with some tension, and I have be very careful to set the tightness just so before I use the unit. Just a small thing. Overall, this gimbal head is an amazing bargain. For someone looking for an inexpensive but solid gimbal head, this might be what you want, PROVIDED the side-mount design is ok with you.

Well Built and Lightweight
Well built, lightweight, compact and easy to use. I mounted the Movo GH600 on my Gitzo 4542 Carbon Fiber monopod to create a high functioning, versatile shooting platform.

Best of the under $400 carbon fiber gimbals
Excellent quality carbon fiber gimbal at an affordable price with the following minor drawbacks; the knobs are textured but the texture is too small and can be slippery; the base doesn't use ball bearings but is still very smooth when panning; the included plate is not a standard arca-swiss and can't be used with another acra-swiss head unless it's another Movo gimbal... not exactly sure why they did this but I tried using it 2 separate ballheads with acra-swiss mounts and they wouldn't clamp down tight enough to secure it as the plate is narrower than a standard acra-swiss plate. It's not a problem otherwise when used with this gimbal. I mount my lens directly using the tripod mounting collar on my lens. It's also lighter than typical carbon fiber gimbals as it is a portrait oriented mount which does not require the addition of the horizontal arm mount. If you need the horizontal type, choose the Movo GH800 which is equal in quality and price. The knobs are also better on that one although they aren't a deal breaker on this one. Both outperform any of the sub $200-$400 carbon fiber gimbals in during my many months of testing. If you MUST hear ball bearings, I recommend either a Wembly or the lower prices Benro. But do yourself a favor and try these two MOVO models first. You just may end up keeping it.

Movo Gimbal
Very pleased with this product, I use it for action wildlife photography, mainly birds. I've had it 6 months, use it weekly often more, getting some great results paired with my Manfrotto tripod - a great sturdy pair! My only complaint would be the way this gimbal works when you turn the camera facing directly down, for example when trying to take macro photos over a table you can't! I had to switch back to my Manfrotto ballhead, but that's the nature of this mount.

Great value for money
I used this for bird photography, I mounted a 150-600 mm lens on a can 6D mk2. The gimbal head is lightweight, sturdy, and smooth. I am happy with the quality of the product.

I bought this to carry a 400mm f2.8 Nikon lens , on 1st look it is real quality , and a big step-up from the Normal all metal Gimble heads. 1st thing to notice is the weight difference , it is so light, will make it a lot more comfortable to carry around in the kit bag. The horizontal and verticle adjustments are silky smooth , no binding at all. A brilliant product and well worth the cost for my needs.

Built is quite acceptable for price. It can support Tamron 150-600 G2 without any problem. I received a defective item where the base dampening is damaged. Order second time, this unit is better than first one but still base is shaky, but tolerance is acceptable.

This gem is one of, if not the best combination of craftsmanship, quality and value in a gimbalout there right now!
