Good Grips Suction Razor Holder

Before I saying anything else: THE SUCTION CUP IS GREAT - YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO USE IT. I’m reading all these reviews about how bad the suction cup is. Im guessing it’s because they’re just sticking it to the wall without locking it. The suction cup has a locking mechanism. You have to engage it to get it to work. Once you do, the mirror won’t budge until you unlock it. Now with that, let me do the rest of the review. I’m 57 years old and have been shaving in the shower almost as long as I’ve been shaving. I have sensitive skin and I’m prone to ingrown hairs and shaving in the shower helps a lot. Over the years, I’ve tried many different shower mirrors but this is the easiest and best mirror I’ve ever had. In the past, I’ve had mirrors that attach to the plumbing of the shower head (so that the water circulated through the back of the mirror it in order not to fog). Those were ok but the placement was obviously limited and you had to stand in awkward spot to use the mirror. I’ve had a number of mirrors where the mirror was treated with a coating that supposedly makes them “fogless.” These never really work as well as advertised and I wound up having to coat the mirror with a thin film is soap. Over time the mirror becomes dull and spotted. I even have a built-in shower mirror which is great and looks very good but had one major drawback - it needs about a 5 minute head start to get warm enough so that it doesn’t fog once the shower is turned on. So if I forget to turn the mirror on 5 minutes before I want to shower, I’m basically SOL. I bought this mirror for a second shower and it’s so simple yet ingenious. It mounts with a powerful suction cup (better than the suction cups of the “fogless” versions) but that’s not what makes the mirror so ingenious. Behind the mirror is a reservoir where you pour in warm or hot water which prevents the mirror from fogging. The mirror itself slides off a bracket that is adhering to the shower wall with the suction cup so you don’t need to reattach the whole apparatus each time. It takes literally seconds to remove the mirror, fill it with warm water and slide it back on and your good to go. The mirror will stay fog-free the entire time you’re in the shower. When your done showering, all you do is pour the water out. It is a perfect size - big enough to see your face but not too big to be obtrusive. I only wish they made a smaller travel size version. (The mirror I use for traveling requires you to hold it under the hot water but I usually need to do this 2-3 times while I’m shaving to prevent fog build up.) If you shave in the shower this mirror is the one to have. I can’t recommend it more highly.

Easy to install, the anti-fog function works VERY nicely, the mirror is crystal clear and stays that way. It's a good size. The suction cup eventually falls off but that's after a couple of *months*. If you remove it for cleaning once a month it will stay rock solid. You just have to follow the installation instructions. My only complaint is that it only has a hook for one razor. Wish there were two.

Just like the other reviews said, the suction cup loses its grip after a week or two and it crashes onto the shower floor and comes apart. However after this happening 3 or 4 times, I have gotten pretty good at snapping it back together. Aside from that, it does what it says, put the hot shower water in the back and it stays fog-free.

I purchased this to replace a caddy that no longer worked well in the new place I moved. This has worked very well so far- it holds what I need it to. I have always liked OXO products and this was no exception.

I have purchased two of these suction baskets and really wanted to love them. The suction cups hold beautifully and the basket can hold 3 fairly heavy hair/body products. BUT the first one started degrading a few months after purchase. A chunk of the plastic basket came off. I figured it was probably something I had done and kept using it. Over time, enough pieces broke off that I replaced it.When I was putting the replacement up for the first time, the plastic cracked. By the time we got it on the shower wall, a chunk had fallen out. Today, I took it down to clean and a piece of plastic from around the suction cup broke off. I am not sure how long it will hold on the wall.I am very disappointed in this OXO product. Everything about the shower basket is wonderful except for the bottom of the line plastic. It is as fragile as a glass Christmas ornament.Will be ordering a replacement from another company.

Perfect shower shaving mirror! Great adhesion to shower glass, steam resistant when the reservoir is filled, and simple to clean. Couldn’t ask for more.

The media could not be loaded.  Does not stick! Suction last a few hours but eventually you hear a crashing noise coming from your bathroom. And if your unfortunate enough to be in there when it falls, boy howdy does it hurt when it lands on your foot...However, filling it with hot water to prevent fogging is a good idea. And you know what else is chuck full of good ideas: ma' brain. So I got creative and made it work. I bought this mirror several years ago and, it's fantastic. Recently, I dropped the mirror on my tiled bathroom floor and broke it. I immediately ordered the same mirror because it is the best one I've ever had. I'd recommend this to friends and family.

I’ve had this mirror for about 4 years now. Great product and suctions well to glass tile. One thing to note is that it won’t stay suctioned forever. If I don’t re apply it about every 2 weeks it will fall off. Not a big deal. It’s actually quite durable even though the mirror part is plastic. In the last 4 years it’s fallen from a height of 6 feet onto hard tile 3-4 times because I’ve forgotten to re suction it. One time it came apart, but I just snapped it back together. It hasn’t chipped, cracked or split. I’d definitely buy it again.

I originally bought a stick-to-the-wall shower shelf that I attached to a flat wall in the shower. Whenever I washed my hair, I would end up whacking the shelf with my arm. I needed to rethink the shower caddy! The OXO corner shelf is perfect, no more bashed elbows. If fits neatly in a corner and holds shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Easy peasy to install.
