I don’t usually write reviews, but this one definitely deserves it. My toilet had been running on and off for weeks, and it was starting to drive me crazy (not to mention the water bill). I decided to give the Fluidmaster 400H Performax a try, and I’m really glad I did. Installation was surprisingly easy. I’m not a plumber by any means, but the instructions were clear and everything fit perfectly. Took me maybe 10–15 minutes from start to finish. The adjustable height feature made it simple to dial in the right fit for my tank. The difference was immediate. The fill is much quieter than the old valve, and it shuts off clean without that annoying trickling sound. The water level is now consistent, and the toilet refills quickly without being loud or aggressive. It also feels like a solid, well-made piece—nothing cheap or flimsy about it. You can tell it’s built to last. If you’ve got a running toilet or an old fill valve, just replace it with this and save yourself the headache. For the price, it’s a no-brainer.

Just what I needed. I watched a video on how to replace this and it was very easy. Works great for a very reasonable price of just$15. The last time I called a plumber to replace the insides of another toilet in my house it was more than the cost of a whole new toilet. Instructions are included but I tuned into you tube . Very good replacement part and excellent price. Took me just 15 minutes to do the job and I am a 74 year old female

I picked this up to replace an older, noisy fill valve in a Kohler toilet, and overall it’s a solid upgrade. Install was about as straightforward as it gets. If you’ve ever opened a toilet tank before, you can handle this. Shut off the water, swap the valve, adjust the height, and you’re basically done. Took me maybe 10–15 minutes taking my time. The instructions are clear, and the adjustment dials make it easy to fine-tune both the tank and bowl water levels. Performance-wise, it’s noticeably better than what it replaced. Fills faster, much quieter, and the tank shuts off clean without that lingering hiss you sometimes get with older valves. Flush feels more consistent too. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the refill hose clip. On my Kohler setup, that clip just would not stay put - it kept slipping off and turning into a mini water feature inside the tank. Not exactly what you want. I ended up using a small zip tie to secure it, and that solved the problem immediately. Once that was handled, everything worked perfectly. Build quality feels solid, and the adjustability is a nice bonus if you’re trying to dial things in or save a little water. Bottom line: very easy install, quiet and efficient performance, just be prepared to improvise a bit with the hose clip depending on your toilet setup.

Installed in American Standard toilet and works perfectly. The included instructions on the package and info sheet are the best I have ever seen. Very easy to install and adjust and at a good price.

Had my handyman install this for me but as I was watching, he showed me how easy and fast it was to put it together inside the tank. And once in place, it worked perfectly. Great item if you need to replace your valve.

Super easy process to replace. I’m not super handy and don’t have a lot of tools but this was an easy project in my books. I will not that I did have to reuse the bottom wing nut (guessing that’s what it’s called) from my old set up as it was easier to tighten in the right space. Other than that absolutely zero issues. My toilet quit running and my water bill is back down. And after I got everything tightened properly I’ve experienced zero leaks. To note I did do a test run and saw some drippage but that was my issue not the product. After I retightened and checked back later everything was good to go. Directions were incredibly clear and easy (ok so I actually read them after I installed it…BUT they are exactly what I did! lol) and made it clear how to adjust the water fill levels. If you’re scared of this don’t be. It’s been a few weeks and I have no complaints. Save yourself some plumber cashola and do this yourself.

Have installed four of these in my American standard champion toilets. Threr if the American standard ones after about 7 years kept getting stuck and would not fill the tank wuthout opening the lid and tapping the fill lever. I can't believe I went through the torture for over a year. These were so cheap and so easy to install. All of them have been working flawlessly. I have only been using them for about 3 months. I'm very satisfied with my purchase

Cuento con hidroneumático (30-50 psi) en mi hogar, tuve que cambiar mis antiguas válvulas con flotador porque provocaban vibraciones excesivas en las tuberías, estas vibraciones sólo desaparecían cuando cerraba casi por completo la válvula de control angular, lo cual no era conveniente porque tardaba hasta 15 minutos en llenarse el tanque. Encontré esta válvula después de buscar en foros de plomería, pedí esta versión de 2 válvulas, vienen en una caja de cartón perfectamente resguardadas. La válvula es de plástico (PP y POM) de gran calidad, aunque puede parecer frágil al tacto, es muy resistente una vez instalada. La instalación es bastante sencilla (solo ocupé una llave inglesa y el vídeo de instalación en la descripción de este producto). Adjunté un video de su funcionamiento luego de bajar la palanca completamente, llenó el tanque de mi inodoro (4.5 L) en menos de medio minuto y no hubo golpe de ariete (vibración de tubos). Aclaro lo siguiente, no es tan silenciosa como promociona la página de Fluidmaster (pero sí más silenciosa que una válvula de llenado con flotador Fleximatic, como el de la foto), sin embargo, sí llena el tanque bastante rápido y trabaja excelente con alta presión de agua (hasta 125 psi). El producto no es caro en comparación con lo que ofrece (llenado rápido, eficiente con alta presión de agua, silencioso si lo comparas con válvulas de flotador), además tiene garantía de 7 años. LO RECOMIENDO.

Reading other people's comments on being the wrong size is exactly why I bought it!! The inlet fitting is 7/8 inch(22mm) , fitted straight out of the box, just had to adjust height . Worked a treat. Again, the inlet is 7/8 inch, measure your original inlet pipe to be sure.
