Decent price, quality item, works as described, fast shipping, and long lasting. This is my 2nd one Ive purchased because the other finally broke after 7 years and so I needed a new one. The thing that stands out most to me versus other heat guns like it is the fact that this one has 2 settings (low & high) rather than just one like the majority of the others. These things are amazing when it comes to using them for heat shrink on electrical components like i primarily do, but believe me once you have one you will find a million other users for it as well.

I had a few projects. Remove and install car tint and apply some carbon fiber wrap to a few items. I'm constantly re-buying things I already own but too lazy to look for so I needed a simple inexpensive option. This thing is perfect!The wand style is much easier for smaller detail work than the traditional bulky gun.Works great however It does get a little warm if on for longer periods but I think all heat guns do but didn't deter.Highly recommend it for avg. Joe projects.

I mostly bought this for the heat gun, and the heatgun works well and is just what I needed for using heatshrink. I also needed a backup soldering iron though, and I ended up going with this set over others because the soldering iron included extra tips (I prefer a slant tip.) The soldering iron is pretty flimsy but I was expecting that. Unfortunately, despite saying several places in the description, it did not come with extra tips. The company stated to reach out to them by email if there was any issue, and I emailed them about the issue two weeks ago asking if they could send the tips and they never responded. So I ended up just buying a different cheapy soldering iron with tips somewhere else.

Only used a few times and it has quit working. Purchased in February and it is only May now. Have sent email to Amazon customer support and received no response regarding the advertised ONE YEAR GUARANTEE BY THE MANUFACTURER. No way to reach the manufacturer according to the instructions listed on this page.

This works perfect for the shrink wrap on all my small jars and Salve jars. It works so well I got a second one for Denver. I do lots of different work over there as well.

This product should be recalled. I used it twice for a total of maybe 10 mins. Everything was fine until it wasn't. The smoke alarm went off in under 4 mins. The heating element turned on but the blower fan did not. It started melting and smoking and it set off my smoke alarm. I was able to grab a wet bathroom towel and kill the fire before it turned the building into ash. It's a poorly designed and dangerous product. The "overheat protection" it claims it has was useless.This thing is nothing more than a hairdryer. Hairdryers have been around since the late 19th century. There is no excuse whatsoever for it bursting into flames yet they managed to eff it up anyway. Amazon is refunding the cost and asked me to toss throw it out. I will throw it away but not before I look into having it recalled.

This "heat pen" works well. It gets hot and hasn't blown up my house. I have no complaints!! :D

Got this for shrinky dink crafts and it burned out after about a dozen uses. I only used it on high heat, not sure if that was a contributing factor. Still have it 3 stars because it was pretty cheap.
