The best of the best
Atari took the best of the games from the Atari Collection 1 and 2 and put them into this collection and put some never seen before games into this collection. Games like Space Duel and Spider appeared in Atari 80 Games. Atari wanted to do more games perhaps but dUE to the capacity of the CDROM they had to balance the game choices for everyone. Visually the games do look appealing , but the way the game looks is your preference, as you can change the resolution options and cabinent art of the game. Some games the flicker is annoying so I turn it to low graphics settings and it looks much better on the eyes. Also on some games, when you turn off the display art, the game goes full screen so that helps a lot. Another thing that really helps a lot is the fact that you have an analog controller , the precision control in Centipede is a absiolute must to pull off certain moves in order to get the spider that flys around on the screen. And the sensitivity of the analog control helps. You will also notice in other places where the analog contriol helps as well. The interviews with Nolan Bushnell and the added Atari extras such as artwork and other promotional material help complete the deal to make it more nostalgic. The quality of the video of the video interviews is a little bit grainy but its a limitation of the 320x480 resolution that's being displayed on the television and of course the file size limitation of the CDROM.A good buy for the used price I got it at. It's one of thoese games you will want to relive the childhood memories of putting quarters in a machine because arcades are going away quicker then you think.

Great old games !
I bought this game mainly for Asteroids, centipide and Black widow.I played the other games but those 3 where the ones i liked more.I am ussing the PS3 80G 2usb port and a 1080p LCD tv to play this games and I can't get to see the laser shots in both Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe, this is frustrating because you can hear the sound of the shots but not see them.ALso try playing PONG with the PS3 control !!!! it's nearly imposible to control the sliding bar and rebound the ball; same aplies to Super Breakout. One more thing, in the description and on the CD it says you get a FREE ATARI STICKER, this is not true.I looked everywhere and i couldn't find it.

Owners of PS3 beware.
I have no doubt if you own a PlayStation 1, this game works fine. I own it and a PS3. Well it only kind of works. There isn't any bullets on tempest or asteroids that show up on the screen. I didn't try all the games, I mostly bought this for tempest. Very disappointed.

hard games
I bought this game because i thought it would be fun to relive memories fo the past and share the same memories with my kids but after playing and watching them play i realized these games are harder than todays games.Great for memories and a challenge but definately tricky couldn't remember how to play half of them. So I would say not for kids

More Atari classics..
You'll find 6 more previously unemulated Atari classics plus an interview with the legendary Nolan Bushnell on this disc. Plays well on the original Playstation, but the game has display issues when run on a Playstation 2 or original model Ps3 when playing the Vector titles. If you have the aforementioned hardware, look for "Atari Anthology" on Playstation 2.Great for the whole family
