I like the overall look of this frame, but it is VASTLY over-priced. This item is genuinely rustic. So much so that you will come away from handling it with wood splinters in your hands. For this reason I decided to seal my frame with a light coat of polycrylic. (* My frame colors looked exactly like seller photos upon delivery. My photos were taken after I applied a clear coat, which will darken the color a bit)I need to say that the reclaimed barn wood patina is somewhat questionable... as some of the color began to lift and slightly tinted my sealer as I painted it on. Be aware that the wood was probably artificially "aged" using a chemical process of some sort. If you are chemical sensitive, you may want to wear gloves while handling. Additionally, one mitered corner of my frame does not line up correctly. It is not overly noticeable, but for the price I feel that the quality should be better. I also really hate that they used plexiglass instead of real glass, and the backing has those ultra cheap bend-up metal tabs to hold your photo/artwork into the frame. While I like the overall face look of this item, I will NOT be purchasing more of them.

I read some negative reviews about the Plexiglas (in lieu of glass cover), but that's one of the reasons I bought it. It was a gift for my Dad and I needed it sent to me first (so I could add a picture), then send it to him in the mail. Several people complained that they didn't like how blurry the Plexiglas was, but perhaps they're unaware that there's a protective film on both sides of the Plexiglas - if you remove the film; the picture is every bit as clear. As far as the frame itself - It's really pretty - I loved it (and so does my Dad).

I ordered two of these frames. Really love the barnwood frame, it is sturdy, durable and looks fantastic on our wall. I was not thrilled with the plexiglass in either of the two frames. The first one we ordered, the plexi was completely unusable and I had to purchase replacement plexi. It was scratched beyond repair and just did not display our artwork the way we expected. The 2nd one was better, but still had some scratches, but thankfully not in obvious areas and we were able to make it work. Overall, this is a solid product and the fact they use actual wood is a HUGE plus. Disappointed in the plexi, but we made it work.

I purchased some beautiful photos from a local wild life photographer. He advised I double matte the picture. These frames came with a double matte and they look beautiful. My husband said they look like they should be in a gallery. These will be perfect for our more rustic themed home.

The look was nice and as expected, barnwood is quite delicate and bits fall apart, but not surprising. Plastic was scratched and cloudy-and so dirty that white matte had smudges in several places. The matte cutout was also slightly off in sizing or maybe angle? I was using for a professionally printed photograph, so I assume that was a uniform size and shape. I hadn’t read carefully, but back is removed by those bend back metal tabs-one fell off immediately.

The frame and matte were nice. However I bought this as a Christmas present for someone and there was a roach in the box and the glass was broken when I opened it. I went down to a store and bought a new frame since I need to replace the glass quickly. She does love the frame and has it placed in a highly visible part of her home.

This was so much better than I originally expected. It looks great and is well made except it does not contain glass instead it is plastic. I had a family photo printed 11x14 and the mat was exactly 11x14 so I had a little trouble getting the picture in it without seeing any gaps but that was the only trouble I had. Overall, I love it.

This frame is far more beautiful than I thought it would be. It comes with a plastic protective to cover the photo. Never saw this before. It was covered with a plastic film so when you pull the film off the glass like plastic piece fits into the frame perfectly. Add your photo with this beautiful mat and be impressed! I bought this photo from Johnny Jett from the reality show called Barnwood Builders. He signed this for my husband and this will be my husband's Christmas gift this year. It is gorgeous.

Nice frame but for the price you would think they would put real glass in the frame rather than plexiglass. When the light hits the frame you can see the waves and inconsistencies in the thin plastic, especially with the larger size frame. How annoying now I have to go and buy a piece of proper Glass.
