Universal Automatic/Suction Swimming Pool and Spa Vacuum Cleaner Extension/Replacement Hose Compatible with All Major Brands (4, Aqua)

Update: April 2018.These things are junk. The suction required to make my pool vac operate correctly causes them to kink/twist. Also, there's a slight ridge on the inside of each connector. It's not that high but much more pronounced than on my other hoses. This cause the long skinny oak leaves to snag then cause sort of a log jam. After running all day each jointed is jammed with a fist-sized wad of leaves and the vacuum barely moving due to the blockage. Save your money......Original Review: I just received these and they fit just the same as the ones I replaced. However, these are 32" long whereas the ones they replaced are 40". For the set of 10 that's an 80" difference. I really need 12 of these (or a bit more) to equal the length I had before. I have a pretty small pool so I think this will be OK. For the price I can't really complain since these 10 cost about the same as 4 from the pool center.Only time will tell how they hold up to the chlorine and sunshine....Update.....after checking my math I really, really should have gone with another product. Several of the name brand products are 48" in length, these are 32. So in order to get the length I needed I'll end up spending almost exactly as much for these as the name brand products. I broke down today and bought 3 extra sections from a big-box store since my pool cleaner was missing most of the shallow end. The other drawback to the shorter sections is that you lose more length at the joints. Now I have 13 sections vs the 9 I would have needed to get the same length in the branded hose. Every joint wastes about 2" in length and is a potential place for debris to get stuck and air to leak in. Less is more....

Item arrived quickly....package was torn but luckily no damage to items. I expected the item to be cheaper made than the hose I had, but didn't realize HOW cheap! Out of the box they seemed thin and cheap but when in the pool the hose actually curls up in a small bunch so bad my deep end never gets cleaned, even though the hose is the correct length. I have to keep untangling it to even work right at all.....using a G3 my previous hose was the same type with the same size sections and never did this and cleaned the deep end just fine. The connections "seem" to fit well, but leak and sucks air in when the hose is on top of water you can hear the air leaks. Spend your money on at least the Milliard brand (blue shown in pic). Would NOT buy again! I wasted $70 on this junk and can't get $20 for it now and too late to return it!

These do fit with the Hayward hoses and cleaner – no problem. And these were an inexpensive buy – getting 4 hoses at about one-half the price of the replacement Hayward hoses..However, they are only 36” in length (not 48” – a foot shorter) and the plastic is stiffer – so they are not as flexible as the Hayward hoses I replaced. And these hoses are lighter in weight and tend to float more than the Hayward hoses I replaced..The real problem is that the plastic dries-out and easily breaks after a month or two in the pool (and the Arizona sunlight). I’ve been very careful not to bend these too much (snapped in-two). I broke 2 hoses of the 4 I purchased in the first 2 months..I won’t buy new ones – going for the Hayward brand instead, because they lasted for years without much ado, and they don’t snap in two. 😊

This is a replacement hose, as several parts from the old one were worn out. At first it looked and worked great, for the price it was awesome, but come the days I keep finding the hose tangled on itself, something that never happened with the prior brand. It is a pain to have to untangle the hose every morning and mid day finding it tangled again, it’s preventing the vacuum to do it’s job and I have to manually clean the pool every other day!!. I will look for a replacement sooner than later

These are too ridged in comparison to other replacement hoses. They are also about half the length and a couple millimeters smaller in circumference so the fit is not tight enough to the hose that comes with the Poolvergnuegen cleaner. That will cause suction issues.

I was disappointed with the purchase of these hoses. I bought them to replace my old hoses but find out they are very stiff and brittle compared to my old hoses and they have already worn out in the last 30 to 45 days of purchase.They break easily and do not hold up to the wear of rubbing on my pool surfaces.

Less than 2 months after installing 6 sections of this replacement hose, 2 sections have catastrophically failed. They split causing suction leaks, causing air introduction into my pump and failures to prime. The original hoses I had lasted 6 years. I guess in this case, the originals are superior and that is (unfortunately) reflected in the price... I would NOT recommend saving a buck on these vs the originals.

Replaced old ones, should have measured what I had first, these were smaller, but they work just fine.
