Amazing for the price
Amazing for the price. I've used it about 10 times now with no problems. If you're deciding between this and a bosch priced drill, this should do great for occasional use.

Equivalent to using a one pound hammer
I can not recommend this practically useless unit. I guess it might scrape squeeze out glue on woodworking but it can't even chip cement mortar.I have multiple other brands of rotary hammers and demolition hammers. This unit is going back.

Bottom line, if looks aren't important - this hammer is impressive.
When I received this I'm pretty sure the case was dropped because all of the bits were scattered all over inside the case; the case was cracked on the interior near where the handle sits and the handle on the rotary hammer itself was cracked. This unfortunately is where the switch is to turn the hammer on and since the backside was cracked open I couldn't reliably operate it. This was obviously extremely disappointing especially as we were looking to use this over the weekend to remove some old tile mortar but now we will be returning it for a replacement and of course new ones will not be avail until Jun 26, further disappointment as Amazon offered to pay for one day shipping for a replacement however was not able to due to insufficient stock. That being said, I ordered this unit along with the Bosch HS1427 SDS-Plus hammer chisel to remove some old tile mortar which fit perfectly in this hammer. I was able to test the unit out a little bit by adjusting the switch and the cracked pieces of the handle a bit (also while being careful not to shock myself as the contacts were exposed.) Bottom line is the hammer performed very well, impressed even at how well it compares to similar bosch units I've used from friends and big box rental places that retail for 5 to 6 times more than this one. There is an adjustable speed dial from 1-5. I tried initially on 5 and it tore through 40 year old mortar like a hot knife goes through butter however a little bit unwieldy. Dialing it back down a bit to 4 or even 3 left the hammer a little easier to handle for me which is just a testament to how powerful this thing is. (You might find you need ear protection as it gets loud!)On the whole despite my broken handle, the unit appears to be built decently enough for a DIYer like myself to provide a long life of occasional use especially given the price. I would wager to say quality is on par with tools you'd buy from harbor freight, that is to say not the best materials or craftsmanship but enough to get the job done for a good price - keep in mind this thing is only 65 dollars, and you could literally buy 5 or 6 of these before buying one of the big name alternatives - it really comes down to money. Other things to note are the shank-handle is nice, it is adjustable 360 degrees and not too flimsy and is actually useful to apply pressure on the chisel. The labels on all the different switches are hard to read and understand but I was able to figure it out through trial and error - not a big deal for me but could be troublesome for others especially since the labels are the same color as the plastic they're molded on. Also the switch that turns the rotary function on/off was very hard to flip on or off. If you're looking for a hammer that will most definitely get the job done on some occasionally tough jobs (mine in particular just happens to be about 400 sqft of mortar) for an amazing value then get this hammer.Like I said the handle on the hammer was broken on my first unit but I was able to do some limited testing and was so impressed by the power of the hammer that I had to give it 4 stars. If I had to pin the 1 star deduction on anything it would probably be the labels for the various switches and the problems I had on the rotary on/off switch. The price is too good on this that I will be returning this for a replacement and I'll try and post an update once I receive the new one as well as some updated pictures.
