Worth the money

Everyone should have and learn to use a nice heavy sharp Chinese cleaver.

Love this knife. Super sharp! Cut myself 3 times while trimming steak first time I used it. Learned from that and doing better. Has stayed sharp through many uses.

Looks and works great

I work in a meat room and do a lot of deboning. I found this knife to be uncomfortable to hold all day. The comfort would be fine for regular home use.The steel is good, but stiffer than I prefer in my boning knife. The blade is a bit on the thick side too. For everyday use, my cheap victorinox performs better. The thinner blade and slight flexibility are much better for actual deboning in a meat room.

Not the best but the best for the price point if you are getting into quality knives you can pass on to your heirs

This is a truly beautiful cleaver. The handle is smooth and comfortable to hold. The black part of the handle has lovely sparkling colors within it. I also enjoy the design on the blade itself. I keep it on a magnetic strip to show it off but also to keep everyone safe because this is one sharp knife! And that’s a great thing because I was able to chop up steak in practically no time for the cheesesteak sandwich that my grandson asked for.Today I want to make zucchini fritters and decided to try out the cleaver on that. It made quick work of dicing 20 ounces of zucchini. I admit I am a little leery of the sharp blade so have been keeping my fingers far away. But this knife is very easy to wield because of its light weight and comfortable handle. It is also so sharp and efficient that I easily used a cross chop method, so my free hand was on top of the blade as a guide. I found that to feel comfortable because the top surface is flat and smooth. I found that it took less time that it would have taken to use and clean my food processor.The cleaver arrived in a sturdy box along with instructions and a polishing cloth, so it would make a very nice gift. Please be aware that this cleaver is not meant to cut bones or fully frozen food. The instructions tell how to sharpen, should that ever be necessary. It also says to avoid sway cutting. I don’t know what that means and have been unable to find that information, so I plan to ask that question on the product page. It does say I can slice, dice, chop, and mince, so I am not too worried.
