If you dont, dont buy it. This is called a Valknut. It symbolizes Wodans power to bind, or unbind. It appears on a variety of early Germanic jewelry and furniture. It is NOT the "helm of awe" or anything like. It is what it is, and what it is is an Asatru symbol for Wodans (Odin) power to instill fear in the minds of his enemy or take away that fear and cause the bearsark (Berserk) rage. If you dont worship the Old Gods, dont buy it. Its an insult to those of us who do. Its not a "cool" symbol. And when I see people wearing something like this, whether it be a horn, ladder, spear, hammer, etc, I always ask them why. Half the time they have no bloody clue what theyre wearing and its an insult to my religion which i take quite seriously. Go buy a reaper pendant or skulls or something. As to the actual product, its well made, and you get what you see. Im quite happy with it. Buyer beware; there are very few Asatru who take the Spear, the symbol for Wodan, as their god. Hes also known as the Bolverk. He raises his heroes high, and cuts them down in the prime of their life, so he has the best fighters in Walhalla to fight the final battle. In my clan, I am the only one who has taken the spear, and Wodan as my God. But he chose me. At 8 I had a metal rod shoved through my eye and it blinded me. Nicely made necklace. Only thing is the necklace it came with is junk so purchase a nice necklace to hang Odin's Valknut from. Pretty nice for something made in China.

While the rope/lace isnt the strongest its a pretty good strength. The pendant itself is very solid and strong. I would recomend.
