Once I repaired the torn seams; these turned out to be great foot wear. I suppose, as consumers, we should re-examine where our bar of expectations lie. We should likely shift to a lower setting and expect shoddy craftsmanship and accept the inevitable of being required to complete some type of repair or adjustment of newly purchased products.Does Amazon read these reviews?Do they perform any quality control and/or management measures?Do they realize poorly made products sold through them reflects negatively on them?

These came brand new in the the box and are very light and comfortible. They do ride a little low and the harder part of the sneaker in the back pinches a little, but once they get worn in...they are wonderful!!!! Obviously they breathe since they are mesh and they are easy to pack. They look great with khaki, green, brown or black shorts too.Worth the money and being they are usually $80 or more, the $28 I spent was well worth it!

So I first bought these shoes when they did have these "essential" series. These are actually more comfortable than Vans, supras or any of the other brands that I've purchased where they're styled as simple canvas shoes. This is my 2nd pair now and I really like the padding in the essentials collection. I really like them and wore them on a recent island vacation and the guides loved them.

I have always considered Creative Recreation a reliable and consistent brand, and although I usually get their high or mid-top shoes, these provide the same quality and style I have come to expect from them.One thing to note is that although Creative Recs usually run about a half-size small, these are fairly accurate to size. I am a size 10 M and usually order the 10.5, but when they arrived and were slighlty too large, I had no problems returning them free of shipping. The size 10 fit perfectly, and should for anyone with average-width feet.The shoes are extremely comfortable, and an interesting thing mentioned neither here nor on the CR website, is that the insole is slightly cushioned for extra shock absorption and walking comfort.

Great looking shoe. Materials are of low quality. Had holes in them, on the upper area, from normal use in only a few weeks. First I've ever had that happen with a pair of shoes in all my life. This happened with the canvas/mesh/burlap material version of the shoe.

It's nice to travel down the road and have the wind blow through your feet. These shoes are very fashionable and also extremely comfortable to wear long term. I would recommend getting the right size. I wear a 12.5 but do to my foot shape I go with a 13 and they sometimes slip if not tied correctly. Great shoe!

I was very excited to receive these shoes BUT once I tried them on, they were not a comfy fit. These shoes are made for people with long feet not wide ones.

Bought these for my son for camp - they are are perfect. Easy to order, comfortable and process was easy.
