I love to watch history of the Quinn and Ming Dynasty, and when I came across these my first thought was, I am getting these no matter what. I looked at the price and I thought wow that is such a great value for my money, the colors are so vibrant, the quality of the papers are fantastic, the instructions are easy to follow, and I also bought another set for my older son and his wife because I really think they would enjoy doing origami together. I just really think this is a great gift or to just have for a project to do with your own younger children at home. I absolutely love these and if you love any type of arts and crafts or even just puzzles, this would be a great addition to add to a fun pass time.

Maybe it's not correct to give this 4 stars, but we couldn't even play with it properly. There probably was some instruction book that we never saw, maybe it got lost the second we opened it, but if you accidentally lose it, there is no way to make a use of these papers. I think if there was a slight hint or a small 3 step guide on the box itself, like most of toys come with, that would be great. If it's such an important piece without which the game is useless, then some guidelines should be printed on the box.

My 6-yr old grandson is interested in origami and I purchased this for a fun craft for us to do. There are loads of plain colored papers and 50+ printed paper designs with instructions. Many of the printed paper shapes are too difficult for my 6-yr old (and some are quite difficult for this grandma!) but we have still had hours of fun with this and there were so many sheets of plain paper, that we could make as many planes, dogs, cats, etc. that we wanted. Next time, I may look for 8" square paper and/or paper that has a color on one side and a different color on the other side.

My grandchildren will love making things

My 10yr old loves origami so this was a perfect gift for her! It comes with a book with instructions that are super easy to follow. Comes with a great amount of papers with different designs and also blank ones. So fun and great value!

Some of these are pretty straightforward but we found about half of them are way too confusing and even with my help we can’t figure them out there needs to be more pictures and more steps (some steps include several things and with no pictures it’s way too confusing) in the directions. My son is 8, but obviously I’m an adult with a masters degree, so would not recommend this unless you already know the folds and just need the paper. They need to rewrite the instruction book.
