They work well and they work quickly! I take them on an empty stomach along with fiber and a lot of water. This quickly gets the good microbes out of the acidic stomach and into the gut where they can grow. The fiber nourishes them and provides habitat for them to live in. So more microbes can grow, they can extract more nutrition from food, and you stay regular. Taking this probiotic restored my appetite during times when several factors (physical and mental) had destroyed it. For a while I had no appetite at all and had to just make myself eat. After starting this probiotic, I now have a regular appetite and eat at regular intervals again. These have been very good for health and morale, and they can also help people whose habits and/or medications cause loss of appetite. Even if your appetite and digestion are fine, chances are that the right probiotic can increase your tolerance to certain foods. For example, I get no gassiness from cheese while taking this probiotic. It also helps me tolerate spicy food and even some alcohol drinking. Of course, these results are personal and I cannot guarantee them. But for me, they are certainly obvious and reproducible results which I can get purely by taking this probiotic, psyllium husk fiber, and enough water to protect them within the stomach. I have found that once you have a healthy microbiome going, there's no need to take more of these. Eventually you will reach a point where taking these makes you VERY hungry all the time. When you're at that point, you can save the rest of the capsules for a later time. At that point, taking fiber to feed them seems like the better way to maintain them.

This really is an excellent blend of probiotics. I have tried many brands and these seem to work the best. They are easy to swallow capsules and I take 1 daily with breakfast to keep my gut healthy and for proper digestion. I used to have a problem with constipation until I started taking probiotics and since taking these daily I am never constipated. I don't mean to be gross but some people really stink when they poop and that is because they have bad bacteria in their gut.
