I saw this on sale and decided to finally pull the trigger on upgrading my Android Auto/Carplay for my Android Radio for my car. I originally had the Carlinkit 2.0, which only supported a wired connection. It was good, but had some draw backs such as audio getting clipped when directions were being read, a stretched aspect ratio and day/night mode not automatically switching.I am pleased to say after upgrading to this version, all of the issues I had with the old version have been resolved! Not only that, but I also get wireless, which really was my main reason for buying this. The wireless functionality works extremely well, and I have not noticed any significant lag. The audio is very good as well.Needless to say, I extremely recommend this product, even if you have an older version. It is worth it!

For my 2013 Audi S4 I have a RSNAV s2 Android unit (aftermarket). It works but the include wire Android Auto was super sensitive with the USB connection to the phone. After getting this adapter that problem is gone. Wireless connection take about 10 seconds and it just works.The adapter install was a little bit of a pain. The apk file on the device would not install as it said it was bad. Went to the website and pulled the latest version and it installed perfectly. I have changed the settings to play via Bluetooth as the adapter had a off hiss and static at higher volumes. Not a issue after the change. Other than that, this works great so far.

The device constantly disconnects from the head unit, it starts working and then suddenly the carlinkit disconnects from the automit app as if the device is disconnected from the android headunit usb but then after 10-30 seconds it appears connected again by itsels, it’s very annoying

When it works, it is awesome! However, that is about 75% of the time. Otherwise, it is so slow to connect, it is beyond irritating, and then about 10% of the time the streaming music skips pretty badly. But, as you can see most of the time it does work pretty well, it's just super frustrating when it doesn't. You will find yourself having to reset your phone or your head unit pretty frequently.

Tuve la versión anterior que funcionó sólo por dos meses, ya llevo varios meses con esta y a la fecha sin inconvenientes, la conexión inalámbrica es estable y fluida. La única dificultad es que no permite utilizar la emisora del radio mientras está activa la conexión, al parecer la app del dispositivo fuerza el cierre de la app de emisoras del radio

I came here because I appreciate their customer service. I had the 2019 version and I bought this to upgrade mine as the audio was beginning to distort. I had trouble installing as it wasn't a plug and play for me. I had to update my APK and my car couldn't detect it via the Carlinkit USB. Luckily enough, they contacted me to make sure if I had my system hooked up correctly. I told them my situation and they gave me the APK file to install via my own USB. Everything worked from then on. It seems faster and the audio sounds way better, thank you.

In less than a year the device stooped working. It was unrecognizable by the car or any other car. The cable was working fine so I don't what could have caused the problem. Good while it last :(

At first I didn’t know how to make it work but after playing around in the radio I was able to installed and it’s the best purchased I have done this year I love my new apple carplay.
