Review: Pretty decent - Edit. So after having this for some time i was able to adjust the overscan on my tv to correct the issue. Had to go into my tv's secret service menu to do it. I was in contact with the company and they offered to send me another unit in the event that i received a defective one. Although this is the first time in my life that i've encountered a a video device not being able to match up to the native resolution/overscan of the tv, It's possible i received a defective unit. The company was willing to replace it but honestly i only turn this thing on when i'm feeling nostalgic so i;m just gonna keep it. Works good even though i need to adjust my tv manually. Crystal clear picture when using a scart cable. No lag that i've experienced. Mostly glad the company was in touch with me and offered to replace it. Good unit for the price and sturdy. Not cheaply made device by any means. Old Review: This works really well but the screen is never center. Used it on a couple different TVs and it's the same thing so it's not the TV. Seems to be an upscaler issue. I'm gonna try different cables but I doubt that will fix the problem. The border space along the left and bottom isnt so bad on a smaller tv but definitely noticable on my 42 inch. Also there's some noise on the bottom. More specifically these little dots that run along the bottomed while the game is running. I've want to contact the company just in case I recieved a faulty unit but I can't find any contact information. Oh well. Just might return it and try another converter/upscaler Review: Works for Atari ST! - This is great! I was looking to bring my 1990s Atari ST back to life and got as far as figuring out that it needs a horizontal scan rate of 15 kHz while all modern screens only do 30 kHz and up. I was able to hook this up to my new Dell 23" monitor without problem, and it works! My screen has built in speakers and the sound works as well. I still had my old RGC to scart cable for the Atari, just plug the scart into this box and connect the screen to the box on the other side via HDMI, and it's all good! Sure, there are some picture quality issues - solid blocks of color have lines in them, but do I care? Like %$ยฃ@ I do! This even deals with a game that uses overscan on the sides of the screen (Lethal Xcess) - for those in the know, the Atari screen always left the sides of the screen space unused, but some clever games hacked that and expanded the screen to use that space - I really wouldn't have expected this device to be ok with that. Excellent!

Great price to quality ratio.
If you are looking at this product then you are probably a gamer and you know there are 2 options: expensive or cheap. For the price you are paying, this is a nice little converter. Image quality is clear and its easy to use. Currently I am using this for my Sega Saturn and Genesis/CD/32x and it works great. There are a couple small downsides. The toggle switches are confusing and I still haven't figured out the trick. I wanted to go to a 720p picture but when you hit the toggle it goes all black and you have to try different buttons till the image pops back up. It's almost like the box resets when you change resolutions. At first I thought it was broken, but after some random button mashing, I got the picture to pop back up again. My only other complaint is that you can't do a 4:3 ratio without having some of the screen cut off, it just automatically upscales to your TV. It's not bad, but I would have preferred that ratio rather than have it upscaled to the TV. Its not awful, maybe a little wider than normal. Overall, unless you want to spend $300 this seems like one of the better options out there.

Seems OK for the price - you may want to pair this with a higher quality cable to really see if it's right for you
I want to say that this thing is working as intended, but right now I do not know. I might have to purchase a better quality SCART cable and tinker with it. Basically, I'm happy with it but yet was maybe expecting a bit more. I will adjust my review once I track down a higher quality SCART cable, but as of now here is what I'm experiencing: Dithering and picture noise, with artifacting on the bottom of the picture like blinking color dots I also do not like how long the message stays on the screen telling me the source of the picture. It lingers far too long. Like I said, this product is working, the picture is definitely better than a composite. I'm using this with a Sega Genesis Model 2 on a 65" Flat Screen so I guess it's way better than composite, but there are some issues I need to work out.

Great device for an even greater price!
I sincerely do not understand the bad reviews I read below. I was looking for a SCART to HDMI converter and was almost giving up and paying $300 for a Framemeister when I stumbled into this piece of equipment, I then bought it and was amazed when I plugged it in. I've been using it with my Sega Genesis model 1 ever since and the image is simply beautiful, colorful and of great quality. The upscaling is not perfect as it stretches the image a little bit but it is still awesome, even though I use it on 4:3 scaling anyway. I see a lot of people complaining that they see no image at all, don't forget that this has 2 inputs, being 1 hdmi and that you have to press the SCART/HD button to switch between them. Also if you are having bad image you are probably using bad cables. And people who had it burning/stopped working just had bad luck and I'm sorry for you!

Exceellent HDMI Solution for Commodore Amiga!
I wanted to write a short review of this product for others that are buying this product for use with their Commodore Amiga computers. Initial reviews of these devices referred to a horizontal scan issue that softens the display during horizontal motion, like an out-of-focus photograph. After testing this device in all available modes, I can see no such effect. The picture is sharp with excellent colors. Also for Amiga users, I am using this device with a RGB to SCART cable from the Retro Computer Shack. Now I have a high quality display solution for my Amiga for years to come. Great product!

Good, when it works
I got this to use with my arcade Supergun to hook up to my workbench when I'm testing old arcade PCBs. It was working great, and then suddenly it stopped working for no reason. The total amount of time I used it was under 1 hour, since I would hook up a board, see if it worked, and then shut it down, maybe staying on for tops 2 minutes. This system was working great, but then one day, it just didn't turn on anymore. On top of that, it does introduce a good amount of lag, but the picture is decent for what it does for the price.
