This is a beautiful sketchbook. The cover is hard and is linen but does have more of a canvas texture to it,the color is beautiful. The pages are bright white and not cream which is fantastic for just about any art project or journaling. The pages do lay flat without really having to break the spine.The 70 pound paper works great for colored pencils, charcoal and pastels. Markers do work well but will bleed through. I wouldn't suggest this for watercolor or acrylics as the pages will curl.Overall great quality sketchbook at a decent price. Would buy again.
