Cliched crossover affair, but what a wonderful one it is.
I'll Start off by saying I normally hate comic book crossovers of any kind, usually because I only like one of the characters in them and every time they fight it's a draw and they team up to fight one of either or both heroes villians. If you're familiar with crossovers the story structure should be an obvious given, but incase you arent heres how it goesBad guys do something illegal.Good guys show up almost immediately.Bad guys get away. Both forces of good meet & get into misunderstanding then fight a while, then team up sometime after to punish evil.Bad guys combine forcesBad guy almost succeeds but is thwarted by goodThen heroes part ways as friends and takes their villains back to where ever they go normally in each franchise. Some Super Minor Spoilers Ahead! The goodThe Turtles and Splinter do what most other heroes can't, make Batman lighten up some and have a little fun before the end of the seriesDamian Wayne (Robin) isn't such a jerk in this when he shows up.It's just a fun story and a bit sillyThe artwork is fantastic, I've never seen the Turtles look better in comic book form before. The colors are quite beautiful as wellThe story leaves open a possibility for another crossover between these characters again and im totally on board with another and hopefully the next would take place with Batman in New York. There is quite a lengthy display of awesome covers and variant covers after the story ends with a few pages of Freddie E Wiiliams II sketches too.The BadBatman looks a little goofy at times in a few panels because he is so muscular. It was only 6 issues I wish it was longerRaphael has his normal going off on his own after having an argument with the characters on his side. The good far out weighs the bad, the bad parts don't really have any kind of effect on the book they might even make you chuckle when you come across them. If you like both Batman & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics there is no reason not to pick this up. I Usually read an issue a day when I buy comics in this format to make it last longer, but I went through it all in one sitting and had a blast reading it, even though it follows the stereotypical crossover structure but this time I liked everyone involved in it.

Turtle power
One of the many crossovers you didn't know you wanted until now. The Turtles come to Gotham to stop the team-up of the Foot Clan and the League of Assassins. The art is superb and the action is your typical comic book fare.

Batman and the TMNT together?! Aw heck YES!!!!
As if the TMNT meeting up with the Ghostbusters wasn't awesome enough, now they find themselves stranded in Gotham City, along with Master Splinter this time, following a battle with General Krang after getting blasted with his portal projector. It seems that Splinter and the turtles' problems are doubled this time too: for one, there is no known substance in the DC universe that bares a resemblance to the mutagen that transformed them which is causing the mutagen in their blood to deteriorate and become inept. Once that happens Splinter and the turtles will revert back to their base animal forms and lose their humanity forever. If that wasn't bad enough Shredder and a small number of his Foot ninja have been sent to Gotham as well and he teams up with two of Gotham's greatest villains, first The Penguin (who Shredder finds to be quite laughable) and later with Ras' Al Ghul, effectively forming an alliance between the Foot Clan and the League Of Assassins. I know, right? What exactly is Ras' and Shredder's plan you ask? First Shredder will wait patiently until Splinter and the turtles revert to their base forms and, quite literally, crush the life out of them while he and Ras' claim Gotham as the new seat of their shared empire using a newly constructed portal machine in Gotham to bring in more Foot ninja to fill out their numbers. They also trick the turtles' buddy Casey Jones into delivering a fresh batch of mutagen to Gotham under the assumption that it will be used to help Splinter and the turtles, only for the two arch villains take it away from him to use on the inmates of Arkham Asylum as a way to kick start their plan. There is only one man who can help set things straight now, although this may be difficult for Batman as well, even with help from Robin (Damien), especially with the time constraint. This is one of the best cross overs I have seen in a while and was excited to read it being a fan of both Batman and TMNT. I have also heard that an animated version is rumored to be in the works so keep your fingers crossed. Definitely recommended for fans of either universe, or like me, both universes.

The Joy of Comics
Batman/TMNT finds the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles having crossed over to Batman's universe and at risk of losing their powers forever as the mutagen that gives them their powers may lose its potency in our Universe. Meanwile, Batman finds himself investigating the Foot Clan and the Turtles.Overall, a cynic could point out to how much of this is expected. Our heroes meet, fight, and then realize their both good guys and join forces. However, the success of Batman/TMNT is all in the style . Not only is the way the Turtles make contact with Batman surprising, but the Dark Knight develops a very interesting relationship with the Turtles. The characters are joyous to read. The characters have problems, but angst isn't the driving force of the story. There's a great sense of fun and imagination on every page. The art is gorgeous and manages to capture the epicness of the two Universes. In short, Batman/TMNT is so joyous and fun, it reminds long-time fans how comics can be so awesome.

The crossover I didn't think I needed until then read this comic
The crossover of comics is epic. I loved it. Multiverse in multiple universes. I wonder if they could do a Marvel one. Marvel and the TMNT. That would be pretty cool. My favorite comic of the year.

Who’d a thunk it? It actually works!
Batman has enjoyed many successful inter-company crossovers throughout his decades-long career with the likes of Judge Dredd, Spider-Man, Aliens, the Predator, Daredevil and the Punisher, but his adventure with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is undoubtedly his most bizarre and most successful crossover ever! On paper, such polar opposites like the Dark Knight and the Heroes in a Half-Shell shouldn’t succeed! And yet, thanks to fantastic writing and artwork, it triumphs! This six-issue mini-series (collected in graphic novel form) features the Turtles, Master Splinter AND Shredder & The Foot Clan trapped in the DC Universe (specifically Gotham City), having been thrown through an inter-dimensional gateway by Krang. With Batman investigating sights of ‘bizarre creatures’ and a new Ninja Clan attacking Gotham, it’s not long until the Caped Crusader and the mutants clash…and an unlikely friendship is formed. The pacing of this story is exemplary, thanks to James Tynion IV having such a complete grasp of both the Turtles & Batman’s worlds, knowing how to write the best story with all these characters, and with a clear endgame in mind. The characterisation is spot-on, with each of the Turtles appreciating Batman for their own reasons, and Bruce in-turn respecting the Turtles and Splinter for their abilities, as well as having sympathy for their plight. The plot has the perfect balance of comedy & drama (it’s really refreshing to see Batman break character and indulge in a slice of pizza to further showcase of his humanity!) and the villains are written just as perfectly as well, with Shredder being as ruthless and intimidating as ever, and his inevitable confrontation with Batman being built-up perfectly before they clash. There’re also more surprises from friends & foes of both Batman & The Turtles, and it all concludes in epic style.Freddie Williams II’s illustrations (with Jeremy Colwell’s colours) compliment the writing perfectly. The visuals of the Turtles fighting against/with Batman truly bring the story to life with some beautifully choreographed battles, but there’s also a lot of emotional-substance on offer, namely with Raphael and Batman. The expressions and emotions litter the pages among beautiful colours & pencils. Be it in intense battle, or conversational moments.Action-packed, full of heart and surprises, Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is sure to satisfy fans of both camps! Holy Cowabunga!

Recomendo!
