Perhaps I'm just not looking at the photo closely enough, but it implies that these can be put on your 1" pole so that all four prongs are on the same level. It is not one piece - it comes in two pieces, each with a full shaft, so that you stack two of the legs on top of the other two. So two of your prongs are slightly above ground, though I presume you could pound your pole into the ground more deeply and risk damaging the pole. Anyway - just be aware of this. So far, it's holding up a feeder with 15 pounds of bird seed in it, on a 1" pole that's about 5' tall, so I can't complain, but I'm waiting for the feeder pole to start leaning. Then, I suppose, I'l break out the quick-set concrete and make it a permanent fixture.

It's not a complex item but it's not entirely clear when you get it how exactly it should be assembled. My spouse set it up but it did not quite resemble the picture but as it seemed to do the job, I said nothing. It would have been nice for at least a diagram of how it fits together. It *is* sturdy. The pole(s) it supported, have been bent over by bears, so they did not fare well, but this thing stayed in the ground without even a wobble. I definitely recommend this as a base for bird feeder poles since it does stay planted and sturdy. It does the job well and we will continue to use it perhaps in the winter when bears are sleeping.

I used this product to stabilize a bird feeder pole with many attachments ( a water dish, 5 differently spaced hooks for various sizes bird feeders). The prongs on the bottom section of the pole had broken and didn't hold the pole great anyway when they weren't broken. I put the bottom section of the pole in the ground, slid the sections of the heavy duty stabilizer over the pole, put the big prongs on the stabilizer in the ground, tightened the wing nuts. Hung all the feeders, water dish back in place, and it's perfectly straight and stable, even in a strong wind. The birds and I thank you for this great product.....and the cats who are entertained watching out the window.

I ordered the Bird Feeder Pole STABILIZER 4 Prong Base Bird Feeder Stand to keep a bird house more sturdy. When I received the item, the holes weren't round so the unit would not work as needed to stabilize my bird house. Shortly after, I received an email from Rhino Tuff to see if I had any questions. I replied and let them know I would be returning the item for a replacement. They immediately responded, told me I did not have to bother to return the damaged item, and sent out a replacement. It was perfect and is keeping my birdhouse more secure even in the highest winds. I love the stabilized, but I'm more impressed with the attentive customer service and support.

Not a sturdy as I expected without modification. We needed something that the squirrels would not be able to climb and this works.I had ordered the separate four (4) prong kit additional that had sturdier prongs at same time. I used it with the 3 prongs that came with it, but had to remove the one prong that was soldered into the rod. Gave it much better stability. We had to add a 2.5" PVC tube because the raccoons kept trying to bring it down. Works!

Had to return this item. It was broken when it arrived (broken weld on one of the legs). I was going to exchange it but decided to just return it. The quality of the other welds was poor and overall workmanship is substandard.I'm giving it 2 stars because it did arrive on time, was properly packaged and the return process was straight forward.I'm updating my rating on this product because the vendor very quickly replaced the defective one and the new stand is much higher quality than the original defective one. Either I got a lemon or they were having manufacturing issues. The new one is very nice.

The stand is sturdy enough and fit well with the Benba Bird Feeder Station. If it were being sunk into the ground it would possibly have worked as a stand alone. However it was necessary since I wanted to use it on an apartment balcon for me to purchase a large flower pot and cover the stand with soil. It works well now and I have two items hanging from the arms of the Feeder station. (See the attached picture)

So far so good... no issues having it fit my Gardner bird station pole and my pole remains upright even with the squirrels and chipmunks who climb my bird feeding station daily even with extra food on the ground so I needed extra stability for my Bird/Critter station. Even had a racoon once half way up.I wanted to buy another one but for some reason it is not available. I really hope Amazon brings it back!!! Especially before the cold weather as I want to set up a second station to avoid having to go out and fill it every other day.
