How many tablets in the bucket?

Just asked the same thing, I think I answered my own question. Description says 8oz per tablet, that means there probably about 14 tablets in the 7 lb bucket.

New to pool maintenance. Do i need to use liquid chlorine together with this tablets?

I only use the two together to shock the pool.  Typically I use tablets until the cyanuric acid levels build, then switch to liquid later in the season.

does these have the opening in the top to place the chlorine tablets?

These are 3 inch tabs in the container and the lid seal snaps off then you unscrew the lid. Need to be placed in floater that holds tablets.

Can you use this in septic systems ?

No you want to use a dated 2 lb vacuum packed pouch of dry powdered yeast . You put the yeast, into a 5 gallon pail of 100-105 degree water to activate the yeast and stir with a piece of pvc pipe. I use a dusk mask to prevent any yeast being inhaled and put the slurry into my clean out pipe outside the garage.chlorine or bleach products will destroy the bacterial process that  keeps your septic tank and thus your leach field healthy. I have been doing this for 25 years and the septic tank is just clear water when viewed with no residue at the bottom of the septic tank. I am the third owner of the house and the leach field is original. It is cheaper than a back up into the house or a new leach field. I hope this is helpful.
