This is an excellent reference book for beginner or advanced shortwave listener. Andrew Yoder has written a number of good books on this subject. Even thou this book was published in 1997, most of the information is still valid today. This book is not only well organized but also a great read. This book can save a novice listener athousand hours of his life to actually find stations of interest than to tune blindly into the shortwave void.A very entertaining book with enough enjoyable subject matter to help even a professional wave "bender" keep his interest for the rest of his life.

Old, outdated and in need of revision.

I found this to be interesting and helpful in my swl hobby.I am sure anyone interesting swl as a hobby will find this bookto be very helpful.
