Bamboo Vegan Dry Brush

I have read many articles on the importance of exfoliating our bodies and I am now a true believer. It does take getting used to the sturdy bristles but I do find that my skin absorbs moisturizers more deeply. I was having issues with extreme dry skin. After one use of this brush, my skin was less itchy and absorbed the bath salts and oils more deeply. I am no longer experiencing the dry itchy skin as before. This is a keeper.

This is a beautifully crafted hand-held dry skin body brush to exfoliate dry skin. The brush itself is approximately 5” (L) x 3-1/4” (W) x 1-3/4” (H), including the bristles. Dry skin brushing was very popular for a while with some claiming it was a good detox method. For one family member, it’s been a good way to keep his dry skin under control. It does remove the excess dry skin while stimulating his skin.It’s often recommended that use a natural bristle brush, which this is. The agate sisal bristles are 7/8” long, firm, but not stiff enough to be uncomfortable when I use the brush. I do like the addition of the tropical look box, which it can be stored in. It’s a good way to keep the brush from getting soiled in any way.That being said, when I tried brushing my skin with this brush it was quite invigorating. I have a couple of these and they do last for some time. The brush is very easy to control and hold onto with the 1” cotton strap embedded in the body of the brush. The wood isn’t anything fancy, but nicely polished and beautiful. It’s also made from an eco-friendly, sustainable resource. The price of the brush quite reasonable as I’ve seen them go upwards of $30 for similar quality.

I wanted to like this. The bristles were perfect, it seemed sturdy and I'd say the value was there if it didn't smell of mold or Algae. I am VERY allergic to mold. I don't know if it just sat in the warehouse too long or what and maybe I got a defective item, but I was too late to return before the return window to find out.
