It's what you DON'T put on your horse that's just as important
Two things that "bug" me about horse fly spray in general: (1) I can use up a quart bottle pretty quickly and by the end of the season I've spent a small fortune on insecticide alone, with multiple empty containers and (2) I hate the thought of spraying noxious chemicals on my horses, especially since I can sometimes feel the spray blow onto me, or I can smell it (If I can smell it, I'm breathing it in). But, because this product was a concentrate, I was able to make up a huge batch in a 1 gallon sprayer which should last a good while, with more concentrate left for another batch. Also, since this is made from botanical ingredients, and it does NOT smell like a toxic chemical spill, I am not adverse to using it. It's still a toxin, obviously, but I'd prefer herbal over chemical if given the choice. It works very well; my paint has white socks and the flies just love to converge on these areas but Naturvet Spray keeps them off for the whole day. I do have to reapply daily but I'd rather do that than use those oily carcinogenic products that stick onto the skin for up to a week. I do use other methods concurrently to prevent fly breeding and to kill adult flies, so those in conjunction with this horse spray and I have no fly worries.

Spray works well and smells good.
The natural spray works just as well as other sprays with harsh chemicals. It is easy to mix is a spray bottle and lasts a long time. I feel good spraying it knowing it is safe. My horse love it when I put it on him.

A good non-toxic fly spray...
This fly spray is about the best non-toxic fly spray we've found so far for our horses for everyday turnout. It works better than others we've tried. I'm sure it doesn't work as well as the high power toxic sprays, but I don't want to breathe the fumes of those toxic sprays or have my horse absorb all the chemicals in them. A friend's horse was getting rashes and hives from the toxic sprays, so she tried this spray and it has worked well for her; no more hives/rashes on her horse with decent fly relief. We also use flyboots and flysheets, but this spray helps with flies when grooming, tacking up, farrier is out, etc.

Great fly spray
I have used all kinds of fly spray on my horses and this one works great, smells awesome, and I don't have to worry about having a lot of chemicals around around my students!

Love this stuff and so does our horse
A great product great smell and keeps the bugs off for the most part. Nothing seems to be 100% in the wet season of FL

Good smell but does not deter flies
Don't mind the smell but this flyspray is definitely not strong enough to deter over 75% of the types of flies here, even making a stronger mixture and spraying twice a day

It did not repel all flies.
I have only used it once on two horses so far. It worked somewhat but not like I expected. Flies still bothered them. I then used Endure on their legs and sprayed a bit more cedar on their bodies. Perfect! No flies...well hardly any. I think I’ll just keep on with this plan.

Smelled better than most fly sprays
It did okay but didn't last long before the flies were back.
