Easiest and cutest Lego set to make! Great for a date night. Amazing value for price!

The media could not be loaded. Bought this on a whim when somehow it showed up while I was shopping for a car phone holder. I volunteer at a bird rescue and I'm owned by 7 birds (including lovebirds as a child) so I saw the $13 price and said let's try it.First off it's normal sized Lego and genuine Lego unlike a lot of creative Chinese sets that are on the market that use tiny pieces that are smaller than regulation Lego pieces. This is genuine. Secondly the box will absolutely come destroyed. It was crushed and ripped. I could never give it as a gift without apologizing and blaming Amazon. So the box was not savable in any way. Thankfully the contents didn't break, including a the very thin plastic wand that holds up the heart - that was not bagged and loose in the box so I'm surprised it wasn't missing.Putting it together was fun. There were 2 booklets of instructions that made it incredibly easy. The only 2 hard parts were when my pages stuck together and I missed steps, and getting the birds on the rotating base (more on that later). Most of the pieces and very small in that they attach onto one hole or two at most.The two birds are not completely identical. Build wise they are, but color wise one has more green and the other has more yellow/orange. You can adjust the pieces if you want them to be all of one color - I had enough extra chest pieces I could have done that. Unfortunately it didn't come with colors to change the type of lovebird to a Fischer or some other variety.The birds come on a "branch" on the base. Each bird sits on a rotating piece so you can adjust which direction they look. This makes the birds very wobbly. Getting them on the rotating piece was also quite difficult because the rotator kept spinning just as I was going to lock the piece in - I recommend removing the bottom of the bird and attaching it to the spinner and then attaching the rest of the bird. I also suggest moving the wings a tiny bit to make them more like real birds with a slant - Lego wants them completely horizontal on the instructions.For any bird lover this is a must have set, especially at the current price. Just be aware it's a lot of tiny pieces and the box will likely come damaged. This makes me wish Lego had more bird sets that weren't so basic/cartoonish.

I purchased this as a surprise for valentines day. It was an activity my boyfriend and I shared, and it was such a bonding experience and fun! And not only did that create a GOOD memory for us, it also provided a charming keepsake! It’s since become an activity I plan on doing for future holidays!The legos are also super vibrant and durable AND the instructions are user friendly/easy to follow.

Nice build, cute finished product. Nice size for the value. Easy to build and instructions were straight forward. Final product is about 5" tall, about 6 inches wide and about 4 deep. Colors are vibrant, and the pieces do turn for some minor adjustment. Good, quick and easy build, I would recommend, good value for a Lego build. I could see the value going up in the future for this build. Buy while you can. One to build and one to save. I have a few 20-year-old pieces that have gone up significantly in value and can no longer find or really expensive to buy now. This may not be a high value item now, but it could easily double or triple the price if held for the long term.
