Southern Nouveau: And the Lineside

I purchased the softback individual books many years ago and was delighted to see a combined hardback version appear.

I was surprised to receive a heavy package by Royal Mail. Opened up and found a book containing almost 400 pages of illustrations and supporting drawings. I was looking for Southern Art Nouvau /deco structures. My first impressions of this book were mind-blowing. A fantastic book for the modeller and railway historian and carries my high recommendation.

This has everything that a Southern Modeller would want. Not only a description of everything but copies of the actual drawings with measurements so that there is no excuse for not getting it right. Highly recommended.

Good Price - Speedy delivery

A fairly comprehensive guide to the Southern Railway lineside infrastructure, (inherited by British Railways (Southern Region) post nationalisation). There are some omissions, but in general for the Southern Railway or British Railways (SR) modeller the book contains a good deal of very useful information and is packed with detail photographs and in many cases backed up by fully dimensioned drawings.

A must for any Southern Modeller! I only wish this book had been published 25 years ago... a lot of mistakes might have been avoided. At last all of the information is in one tome. Highly recommended!
