Harking back to 1970 debut solo album,the follow up in 1980,and concluding - a mere 40 years later in 2020; McCartney 1,2 & 3 were released in respective years and cover a fifty year time span in total.All three have a back to basics approach and are recorded almost entirely solo at his (near by) or home studios by the multi-talented (Sir) Paul McCartney.McCartney (debut lp) has some stand out tracks.including; Every night,Junk and classic ballad -Maybe I'm amazed.also Paul's prowess as a 'secret' drummer on instrumental album closer - Kreen-Akrore - is a revelation.McCartney 2: sees him in an experimental mood with inclusions such as; Temporary secretary,(instrumentals) Front palour and Frozen Jap.also Paul's rare performance on lead guitar,on - On the way - is another stand out moment.The UK top 10 hit singles; Coming up and Waterfalls - fine inclusions too.Forty years hence - and McCartney 3 - is here before us!He hadn't planned to record any new music.around 2020; PM decided to carry on with the stripped back DNA of the previous two albums and complete McCartney 3 at the end of same year.This was mainly down to the dreaded,draconian 'lockdown' we all had to endure around this time.optimisticallty dubbing it 'Rockdown' - Macca chanelled his efforts with a very optimistic mindset,and made the best album of the trilogy - as far as I'm concerned.Containing Some upbeat and reflective songs.including; Long tailed winter bird,Deep deep feeling (my favourite) and final/reprise track: Winter bird/when winter comes.The box set packaging comes with; a sturdy clamshell box to house the three discs in cardboard replica album sleeves,of which contain original? art work and booklets.excellent sound quality on all three discs.also three glossy cards with colour photos and brief rundown on the making of all three albums by none other than the man himself...A very good to excellent boxset release of Paul McCartney's three eponymous solo albums.As with a fellow reviewer; I wish I could have waited for this latest release,before I bought Mac3 as an individual item.still,it adds to his rich body of work I already have in my record collection.N.B. no bonus tracks added to any of the albums - just the original track listing.you might find them on other re-issues.

You don't need it. And dont buy from Momox!

It looks nice, but I really wish Paul had released this box set at the same time he released McCartney III album in 2020. Then I'd have bought it.It's a bit too late because I've already 3 different colours of McCartney III LPs, and I don't like buying the same stuff over and over again.

All he is doing is re releasing old stuff over and over and over again These are not even half speed RMGet some new stuff out with Quality Musician’s instead of doing it all yourself I will offer you my Drumming talent if you need me

Maybe a superfluous release to some, but with original label art and art cards. Nice annotations from Paul including kisses (not unwelcome) - and a nicely designed box for the CDs. I was happy. Thanks Paul and MPL for this artistic treat - which will no doubt go on to be a collector's item.

If you just entering into The Beatles or Paul McCartney this is a great LP Box Set. For myslef who just started collecting The Beatles LP just a few years ago this was a nice way to add to my collection.The songs and Albums speak to themselved super and great. One needs to take time to sit down and listen.

Sans surprise, albums déjà connus, mais pas dans ce joli coffret. Donc très content de mon achat.
