I use these every day for my devotional/journaling activity. It’s hard to know how much ink these pens have in them compared to how much ink there may have been in them when I was younger. They don’t seem to last quite as long. However, I have tried other purple BIC pens, and they are not nearly as comfortable in the hand. However, with these pens, the barrel of the pen is much more comfortable than those that are perfectly cylindrical. And while other styles of BIC pens are cheaper, the ink is more a lavender color with those, and does not show up as well on white paper as the ink in the Cristal brand pens. I go through probably 3/4 of a box over a year’s time. Really like these.

This style of pen has always been a favorite of mine, and other members of any office I’ve worked at—definitely the most likely pen to be stolen from a coworker due to its smooth ink flow, lack of leaky or tacky ink blotches, and inexpensive nature of the theft.So when I saw they came in purple I was excited. Although they were not due to arrive for a long time I was looking forward to them. And at the end of a bad day I got an email from Amazon saying they had been delivered 6 days early!It was a great pick-me-up!If you have vision problems, the medium tone of the ink might be a problem because of the lower contrast. I took a picture to show the difference between it and blue or black ink, but if you have strong vision the color will be a violet joy!

The lids are on tight so that the pulls in half when you try to the cap off. It's possible the box I received was old, but each pen ran out of ink very quickly.
