I just started getting into melting metals and casting them into bars and other shapes. I bought this inexpensive forge just to get a feel of everything and I gotta say, I was a little impressed for how small it was. I didn't know what to expect on the size so I was think it was gonna be bigger than it is. But for its size, it gets the job done! It's easy to put together and if you need instructions, theyre very detailed and well written. I've melted copper and aluminum so far with no problem at all. It's definitely worth the money to a hobbiest who just wants to melt down some small amounts on the weekend. It's not really made to sturdy so I wouldn't be throwing it around the garage or anything like that. But for its performance I have to say it's a great little forge

I liked this product because it was affordable and it performed just Luke I needed and just like it said it would. Perfect for anyone that's refining metals such as Silver and Gold. It was delivered very quickly and had everything you need in one box. The instructions were very easy to read and understand. It stands up to very very very high temperatures and preforms like nothing I've ever seen. .

This is a awesome little smelter, easy to set up and use comes with everything you need, minus propane. It is adjustable for the lower melting points of some things. This item is very cool, so far I have melted aluminum, copper, brass, I have made my own alloy mixes and I made some bronze as well. I have been using this for a few months now and no issues ar all.

Works well and fast. Heats really even and does the job as described. Great value for money for smaller melting jobs. Works great gold silver and copper you will need smaller crucible as the 6kg provided barely fits and will overheat the furnace. Really efficient as well.

need to buy stiffener, refractory, and a crucible that fits before you will be able to use this. I purchased the 3kg and after stiffening the kowool (sp) and adding the refractory which is necessary for safety and is stated in the instructions, the crucible no longer fits in the furnace... very frustrating to spend days of waiting for everything to dry then you still can't use it. i wood give it 3 stars but i guess it is my fault that i didn't check it first and let myself get so bothered that i just jammed the thing in there anyway I had to break through the refractory and wool just to get the dang thing back out. Now i have to buy another crucible and prep the furnace all over again. would have been really nice if it came with the right one to begin with!

t'smore complex than I thought

I really like the compact size of this furnace. I have used it for melting gold and silver for jewelry making. It's easy to set up and gets hot enough to melt silver and gold in just a few minutes. I recommend it!
