I had a Magic Back years ago and have been meaning to replace it. This one was essentially what I remember as far as being insanely difficult to adjust/size due to the lack of bend in the plastic. However, that difficulty was definitely worth it with my original Back Magic because it worked so well once it was together. THIS version, though, has these ridiculous spikes on the top of it...yes, you read that right, SPIKES. My husband, my daughter and myself sat staring at it, dumbfounded, wondering why in the #&%* anyone would ever put spikes on something that you lay your back on and none of us could come up with an answer. The problem was resolved by flipping the white piece upside down, so that the smooth "under side" was actually on top. This product does the job of cracking your back...just know that you need someone with serious muscle to put it together originally, and to have a first aid kit handy should you decide to utilize the medieval torture spikes.

Not what I expected.
This review is about presentation only. It looks like 2 pieces of cheap plastic. It is a gift for our daughter who is a nurse and on her feet 10 hours a day. She actually picked it out and I know she researches items thoroughly so I’m still hopeful!

Ehhh...
Doesn't really help my back pain. It's hard to sit comfortably with this in a chair, too.
