As some of the other reviewers indicate, the clamps are made from a variety of materials with the main clamping part made from a plastic material which if you consider it, helps prevent damaging the track or denting the workpiece. I've been using these for the past two days on a cabinet project and am pleased with their overall performance. They pretty much eliminate the risk of having the track inadvertently move during a cut. The plastic should hold up to repeated use if you don't over tighten the clamps to the work piece.

Like all my Kreg tools, these clamps are made incredibly well and make a fantastic addition to my Accu-cut. Even though the Accu-cut has a non-slip bottom, I still wanted to use clamps on some critical cuts. The item I was cutting wasn't exactly flat, so these clamps added to the underneath side of the Accu-cut ensured there was absolutely no movement of the track while I cut the 40" width I was needing. They mount easily in the t-slots on the bottom of the Accu-cut. I highly recommend these and all the Kreg tools. I have not purchased anything from Kreg Tools that didn't meet or exceed my expectations.

These work well for clamping the accu-cut rail to the work piece. I'd normally give it 5 full stars, but as the description says it is steel, plastic polymer, and aluminum, I figured the screw and washer, were steel, the knob would be the plastic, and the body of the clamp would be aluminum. Alas, there is no aluminum, as the clamp body is plastic. With this being the case, these are even more over priced than if they had an aluminum clamp. Maybe about $10 over priced.

Clamps down quickly and easily and holds track firmly in place. If you have the same issue of the track wandering slightly off the line as you are progressing with the saw, this will end that problem and save you money, especially if you do woodworking where perfect, square cuts are required. Kreg obviously knew this was a problem, hence why they sell these clamps.

I've had the Accu-Cut setup for a few years but was never really the happy with it. Things tended to move around a bit if you weren't careful. Being able to clamp the rail to the workpiece insures an accurate cut and great results. Wish I would've bought these clamps right out of the gate when I bought my Accu-Cut system.

When the workshop is cold, the rubber strips under the guide stiffen and loose traction / grip. For accurate cabinet work I wouldn’t risk a slide during a cut without them.
