Helps depression and intrusive thoughts
I take this along with sunthianine (sold here on Amazon too) and really helps with my intrusive thoughts. They are almost non existent and before I was having them nightly. I also take iron just from Kroger cheap stuff and cod liver oil but the L methyl folate stuff is what really I find keeps the depression and intrusive thoughts away for me, I hope this helps someone who may be struggling

L-Methylfolate -- The Good Stuff -- Helped with Anxiety!
I struggle with anxiety and have been on a multi-year search to find a supplement that would help. I've tried every variety and chelation of magnesium. every nootropic, valerian root, lemon balm, deep breathing, etc... With varying degrees of positive impact. Then recently I read an article by an Australian woman entitled How A Vitamin Cured My Anxiety. The vitamin in question was Folate. Now I've read up on the MTHFR gene mutation and done a ton of research. This product was my first experience with L-Methylfolate. I felt a lessening of my (crippling) anxiety from day one. And I feel less anxious every day. If you have the MTHFR gene mutation, this is the form of folate you want. (Full disclosure - I do not know if I have the MTHFR mutation.) After doing even more research, I've discovered that the 15 mg this product delivers in each capsule is a lot. A whole, whole lot. So you might want to start with a lower dose and work your way up. That's what I'm doing. And research what other B vitamins it might be beneficial to combine with this. But bottom line, this product is the real deal. And it's real strong. So do your research and maybe talk to your doctor before you take 15 mg every day.

Great for MTHFR, purer than Deplin, 2 1/2 years left of shelf life
Received: November 2021Best By: June 2024Very pleased to find this ASquared Nutrition L-Methylfolate 15mg. 15 mg of methylfolate is the same dose as Deplin, but ASquared Nutrition doesn’t have all the artificial colors and other garbage ingredients. Not to mention, this is a fraction of the price of Deplin. My daughter’s doctor kept pushing Deplin, despite her food allergies. A folate deficiency affects mood, anxiety, and more. My daughter and I have the MTHFR mutation, plus celiac and food allergies that include corn and soy, and we have to supplement to offset vitamin deficiencies. Our ingredient limitations mean it can be hard to find supplements. Very pleased with this Squared Nutrition L-Methylfolate 15mg.As the parent of kiddos with autism, there are causes near and dear to my heart. Let Amazon donate to your favorite charity! Have more energy. Broke out, though
**Update** I had to quit taking this because I broke out too badly from acne all over my body. This happens to me with many B vitamins including B12 shots. It's frustrating, because I know I need the vitamins, but I can't look like a teenager and have full body acne including my scalp. This is pretty common in folks. It doesn't necessarily mean a product is not good. I'll need to force feed myself some dark, leafy greens now lolI ordered this because I was getting intuitive messages I was supposed to. In just a few days I started to feel like I had more energy (I feel like I have been more tired than I've ever been in my life the last few months dealing with health issues and everything else). Anyway, I'm noticing I'm waking up earlier in the morning. These are easy to take. I know these supplements are what are helping me with the energy because I was really paying attention to see what happened when I started taking them. I've never been tested but I believe I have an issue absorbing folic acid. I've actually had two stillborns a little over a decade ago and one of them had a neurotube defect which could be caused by lack of folic acid. The second baby had similar problems but different. I was on prescription folic acid (which you can buy over the counter as well) for the second pregnancy but the same thing happened with deformities. It's really sad, and I'm surprised I can talk about it right now. Anyway, if you are planning on getting pregnant I would definitely take this form at least for 3 months before you decide to start trying. I actually did see a fertility specialist after the first death and also before I conceived my son (who is my only living child) just to get advice so it doesn't happen again. They wanted me on high amounts of folic acid for at least 3 months. So, maybe myIntuition is telling me a baby is coming but if not I have energy and recommend this. I recommend this form as well because I know this is highly absorbable. It says do not take this if you are pregnant. But obviously if you are you can ask your doctor or midwife what you should take if you don't know or bring bottles in to ask them. I am not and I am taking this. I'm reading conflicting information online. Some places are saying you need extra glycine during pregnancy then I'm reading things that say don't take it. I don't know, that's the world these days just use your intuition.

You get what you pay for
This supplement is kind of expensive for mythl folate, but you get a lot of it in one pill. The effect is definitely noticeable unlike the other folate supplement that I take which has about 1/4 dosage of this product per pill. From what I've read, folate is much better than folic acid in the long run.Overall effect for me has been a sense of well being, although I can't specifically point to any one thing other than may slightly better mental feeling.
