VetOne: Advita™ Probiotic Powder for Dogs, a Daily Nutritional Supplement to Maintain Immune System, Appetite, & Digestion in 30, 1g Packets (2-Pack)

I have been buying this product on Amazon for a long time, because it is so much cheaper than getting it from my vet. However, the product varies from shipment to shipment. The color of the powder changes, and the slit in the packet used for opening is located in different places...which makes me wonder if the product is manufactured in different plants and/or by different companies.The problem is that sometimes my cats will eat their food with this added in and sometimes they won't. It all depends on the color of the powder...when it is light colored they'll eat it, and when it's dark they won't. Of course you don't know which one you're getting until you open the packet. I keep buying it and hope that my cats will adapt to the varying flavor, but so far, no luck! I know I can return the powder that's not right, but I won't know if the next one will be the one my cats will eat, and it may mean that I don't have any probiotics to add to their food for a while, so that's just a pain in the butt.I've tried other probiotic brands, and my cats won't eat them at all, so I'm sticking with this one and keeping my fingers crossed every time I reorder!

I have ordered this product several times (all from the same listing - I have just clicked "reorder" from my order history) and there is no consistency, which is concerning. It's usually a light colored powder with the little slit to help tear open the packet located at the top center. But the last order I received, the powder was brown and the slit is on the side of the packet. The packaging is otherwise the same, so I don't understand why the product is so different.I'm afraid I cannot overlook this type of inconsistency in the product itself and will no longer purchase from Amazon, for fear of receiving a counterfeit product. I am willing to pay more to get the product directly from my vet. I began giving this to my cat in the first lace because she was unwell, and I don't want to put her health at risk with the dubious product I've received form Amazon.

My 16 yr old cat loves this addition to her limited ingredient diet and keeps her episodes from happening less.Update: Just took my cat to the vet recently and found she no longer has pancreatitis. This is the only thing I was giving her besides a limited ingredient cat food so it worked well!!!

I had been using another brand- which was a bit more expensive and kept going out of stock- so I tried this. It took a little longer to see the results. but appears just as effective if not better. If your cat exhibits food intolerance & or periodic soft stools, you may want to give this a try- less expensive then a vet consultation- and very likely to be among his suggestions ;)

My cats do love the taste of this additive. A little kitten happy dance happens when they see me add it to their kibble. It also has helped to reduce the number of kitty colds we see. I have 3 cats, 2 with seasonal allergies that seem to always catch a cold in spring and fall. That has significantly reduced since we have been using this.

My cat has IBD, and issues absorbing nutrients from her food. Once I switched to Advita from FortiFlora, my cat was able to absorb all the vitamins she needed. No more supplements, no more pills.

My cats will lick this right off the plate...no need to mix in with food. I add my cats Prilosec pellets and powdered medicine to it and works like a charm plus the added benefit of vitamins, minerals, and probiotics.
