Comfortable knee brace
My dog tore a ligament and her meniscus in her knee. She was hopping on 3 legs and limping. I had to wait a few weeks to get her an appointment for surgery. In the meantime I ordered this dog sling to help her. It really helped her with her stability. She could walk on all four legs again and seemed to like the comfort of the sling. I read in the other reviews that the sling falls down and doesn't stay on. I found that if you put the harness strap under the velcro to hold it in place, it does not slide down. I feel like this was a good value for the money to help my dog ease her pain and be more comfortable. I would recommend this sling.

Needs more refining
Leg brace fit perfect. But the collar they give is way too small it's like for a miniature dog even when fully extended. Now when you attach the leash that goes between the leg harness and the neck which I had to use one of my own collars to prevent it from slipping off on the dog you need to adjust it snugly but as the leg brace will work its way down off the back side of the dog it literally pulls on the collar which chokes your dog, the refinement that I would do is it should have a front shoulder harness so when you pull it tight to hold the back braces on the rear legs it will be pulling on the front of your dog's chest instead of your dog's neck. If this is on your pet never leave it unattended or you may come home and find it dead by choking.. also if your dog lays down and has his legs kicked in reverse position they will slip down closer to the feet regardless of how tight you have it around the ankle. Thought I could remedy this by getting a second one for the other leg, so it would be two straps going over the dogs rear but did not work and I'm returning it but I'm stuck with the first one. Update, I chose refund to CC, but they put it to gift card and sent another to me.. now I have 3 to return..

Pretty decent
Wish the metal bit was a tiny bit bigger or more rigid. Helps with her CCL tear, but better for shorter distances.I found that hooking it to the collar puts a lot of pressure on the throat, which I didn’t like, so put her in a harness and modified how I hook it instead, which seems to work pretty well. Got a large for my 50-lb heeler mix, which fits, but I may try a medium to see if the smaller size gives more support through additional compression.Seems pretty well made. The straps are fairly long, and once I figure out how much velcro I really need, I’ll cut the excess, as it’s kind of a pain, but overall, it works as expected - much better than the velcro-on version I tried first.Other than some initial “what the heck is this thing”, she’s pretty well ignored it, and didn’t seem particularly bothered by wearing it. In order to make it tight enough to stay in the correct position while moving, it’s very tight for her to sit in, sliding to the side, so she can get out of it. I only use it when we’re walking, and not when she’s going to be sitting for an extended period.

Helpful
My lil Australian shepherd has a broken leg and the bandage from the hospital slides down and is not enough as far as support. This product is a life saver I had to cu it open a lil bit more because I place a plastic case on the outside of his leg and small bandage to then slide in this and is very helpful. Everything stays on place. Nene is walking and playing as usual whit this.

Long wear review
the goodThe brace is sized as advertised just make sure to do your measurementsThe brace is soft and comfortable on the leg portionI think this brace would work for a dog who maybe has bad arthritis and just needs a little more support on a busy dayThe badThe Velcro on the back/waist started failing about 3 days in of continuous wear day and nightThe waist/back strap should be wider as to avoid cutting in to the hip areaThere are not enough Velcro straps on the knee/leg portion to properly support the knee of a heavier dogThe brace does not stop the dogs knee from popping outThe brace it's constantly falling do to bad Velcro on waist strapSo over view I thinks it would be fine for occasional wear for lighter weight dogs and if the waist strap was about 1.5 in wider would alot better and longer wear

Very disappointed
I am very disappointed that I spent 53.00 on this product. First of all there is no compression on the knee area for my dog that he needs because of a partial tear. I bought the XXL because my dog is tall and 115 LBS. However, the strap that goes underneath made him very uncomfortable because it squished his private area. I am not happy that I spent money on this.

Worked for my pup
My dog fell off the bed while playing with her toys and injured her leg. The vet wanted $500 just for an x-ray. I did my research and came across getting a leg brace. It is still good to get pain meds from your vet so I definitely would not skip that process, however after the examination from the vet, I was told there were no broken bones. Therefore there wasn’t a reason to pay for the x-Ray. They most likely would have prescribed a leg brace anyway. After a week of using this my dog was fine and hasn’t had any leg lifting since. She’s back to playing and running around like normal. While using a leg brace definitely make sure to limit your dog’s activity. I kept hers to a minimum for the whole week. She’s fine now so I definitely recommend this AFTER you make sure there are no broken bones

Did not work
This brace had the best reviews of the options available so I gave it a try. The sizing was correct for what I chose (sized up based on other reviews). My issue is that the brace had no way to stay up and support my dogs injured leg. The only way to support it was the collar which caused undue pressure and strain on her neck. After returning, my brother had the idea of hooking it to a harness instead. Wish I had given it a try, but either way, this was not a great solution. It constantly fell down her leg and really provided no support
