CirbicExtra Large Talking Button Clock - for The Blind, Elderly or Visually impaired

I purchased this for my 93 year old Mom who's in assisted living. She has severe macular degeneration and can no longer see even the large numbers on her regular alarm clock. This is perfect for her. It arrived last week and she's told me several times how nice it is to wake up at night and be able to just touch the button and hear the time.

My grandmother really enjoys this product! She is legally blind and has hearing issues, and says this has been very helpful. There are 2 volume levels: high and low that are clear and concise. It is very easy to change the date and time, although the instructions are not helpful.

This was for my mother in law who has glaucoma. She cannot read or see clear so hearing the time n day is wonderful,less stress.

I got this for my dad. He has lost most of his vision due to macular degeneration and is hard of hearing too. This button has helped him. The sound is clear and loud enough for him in high.

This button has improved my sanity and gave my dad some power back!My elderly father is very hard of hearing and asks "what time is it"...often. (sometimes 4-5x an hour).This button has helped empower him to not need to ask anyone - he can hit the button and it will loudly tell him the time. Hit it again and he can confirm what day it is as well as the calender date.The button has two volume settings: loud or extremely loud (a switch on back). I would not put this on your bedside to hit as it will easily wake your partner or dog up.The voice is a computer/robot voice - but my father rarely asks me to clarify what the button said - so I think it is clear enough to hear.The button is lightweight & portable. Extremely easy to take with you.I got the extra large one as my father is also almost blind. He can find it no problem, and it's large and distinct enough that you can feel around in the dark for it and find it fairly easily. (remember though, it is loud!)I really love the button. the batteries or battery (don't remember) were easy to install.Great product. Took initial coaxing for him to use it - but now he loves it.

So handy for visually impaired and for those who want the time but not yet awake to look. We have had this item for quite sometime and it still functions very well. It's size makes it easy to find when groping in the dark, etc.

I do not recommend this. The first one I received did not work, even when I put new batteries in. I returned it to Amazon and they replaced it free of charge (thank you, Amazon). Now - 3 weeks after I took it to my almost blind mother, the batteries are dead. (I hope that's the only problem...I will update this review if the clock died.) She only uses it once a day in the morning since she does not spend much time in her bedroom. Now, I have to drive to her apartment and replace the batteries. Batteries should last longer than that. Just one more hassle in my busy life.

I bought 2 of these for my dad a few months ago. One to keep on the table near his chair and one that he keeps in a pouch on his walker. He told me that these were the best things Ive bought for him. he is legally blind and they help him keep track of day, date and time. They are clear, loud and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend these for folks who have a hard time seeing a clock or watch. Have not had to replace the batteries yet and he seeks the time multiple times a day!
