Perfect Product
I buy these jars of sprats on a regular basis, and this is why: They are soooo fresh and delicious tasting. I love them with a shmear of cream cheese on crisp bread or toast, or tossed with warm pieces of boiled potatoes, dill, chopped onion and fresh squeezed lime. Someone here mentioned that they are much cheaper in international stores. I have found the same, but choose to buy these instead for one very important reason. The ones I have found for less than half the price in the stores look exactly the same but they are packed in canola/sunflower oil. These are packed in olive oil. I am super health conscious and there is no comparison in terms of wholesomeness between olive oil and canola/sunflower. I also love that these are packed in glass instead of tin - way better for the health of people and the environment. They have become a lovely and nourishing part of my diet. Keep them coming please!!!!

Bad seal on jars
The jars arrived open and leaking oil. The seals did not hold. I don’t know how they tasted because I was afraid to try them. I would not recommend buying these in jars that don’t seal well. For best results stick to canned sardines.

Good taste. Very smoky.
Good texture and smoky flavor. Not overly fishy tasting. Would pair well with something bready and salty. That could be a simple saltine or a cheddar bay biscuit. Pretty ballsy to put it in a clear jar. Most 'dines are in a container you can't see the product through.

Not so appealing
I read the reviews before I purchased the sprats. The vast majority of them were positive. I did read one that stated the condition of the sprats was less than optimal. When I received my order they looked horrible. There was so much "debris" floating in the jar. I waited several days to see if it would settle down. They still look gross. They taste fine but it's very difficult getting past how they look. I don't think we'll be ordering again.
