a great electrical adapter
hello, this male 30 amp plug to the 15 amp single adapter allows you to use any marine electrical shore power pigtail adapter for your everyday power tools. the fit and finish of this marinco adapter is outstanding. marinco makes quality shorepower cords and adapters. this adapter allows you to hook up your regular 30 amp three prong shore power cord for an always on situation. you will need a L5-30 Male to (2) L5-30 Female Y Adapter (7732) whether is is from marinco or from high tide cords to get the additional female 30 amp outlet. then, this adapter will give you more options for everyday use from one 30 amp shore power outlet. but, the additional female 2 prong allows you to convert the 30 amp to a regular two prong 15 amp outlet for your everyday electrical needs: power tools, lights, etc. a neat way to always allow your 30 amp shore power cord to be continuously hooked up and powered, while allowing power tools to be used in the same outlet. a neat solution.

It works really well to connect my camper 30AMP outlet to 15AMP 120v extension cord to run my heater and ac at home in the driveway. It will also allow me to run the microwave and fridge too.

Be sure you order the correct adapter!
Typical excellent Marinco quality. Be sure which adapter you need. The 50amp 125 volt is different than the 50amp 125-250 volt. Check your shore power for correct one. Also be sure you received an original Marinco adapter. If it is Marinco, the name will be on the product. I ordered a Marinco but was sent a lesser quality adapter. The order said it was Marinco and charged that way. I contacted the merchant and without any discussion they issued a full refund for the product, shipping, and return shipping. I think they knew they had substituted another product. All I said was I ordered Marinco and the adapter you sent sent wasn't Marinco. I reordered for another adapter that was shipped from Amazon and received the correct one.

Great to connect power (Low Amperage) without having to use heavy duty power cord.
I needed an easy way of connecting power to my RV to charge batteries and use low amperage tools. No Air Conditioning! My situation, I have to use about 100 feet of 12 gauge extension cords to reach the closest power plug when the RV is in storage. This Pigtail eliminates having to use the regular heavy duty power cord to attach to the RV entrance power plug. I would purchase the item again if needed. I am happy with the products from this Vendor and recommend to other buyers.
