Suraielec Single Wireless Remote Control Wall Switch with Hanging Plate, Programmable and Expandable (Remote Only, Receiver Sold Separately)

Our garage has lots of ceiling can lights, all operated by a standard single-pole rocker switch located at the door between the garage and the house. However, the garage also has a side door, where there's no switch. At night, if you enter the garage through that door, you're walking into a black space; it'd be too easy to trip over something. So, a few months back, I bought and installed a Suraielec rocker + remote (KW11D, 3-way wireless light switch). I replaced the standard rocker with the Suraielec unit, and now the ceiling lights can be controlled by either that unit, or the (battery-operated) remote. I placed the remote on the wall at the side door - problem solved. However, when my beloved wife leaves the house through the main "car" door (not the side door) of the garage, she always switches on the ceiling lights (using the newly-installed switch at the house door). She then opens the main garage door, walks out, and closes the garage door - leaving the ceiling lights on, frequently for several hours at a time. So, I bought this extra remote. It arrived without any instructions regarding how to pair it. I looked for the user manual for the remote, and then for the light switch. Neither helped. Luckily, an Amazon reviewer provided the answer. In case anyone else needs to do it: 1. The new remote (the one that you're going to pair with the main switch) comes with a plastic tab at the battery compartment, to prevent it being turned on during storage / shipping. Remove that tab, so the new remote is ready to use. 2. Press and hold the top (ON) part of the rocker on the main switch. After a few seconds, a red LED behind the center of the rocker begins pulsing slowly. 3. At that point, release the rocker. 4. Now, tap the top (ON) part of the rocker on the new remote. That's it! I placed the second remote on the wall near the main garage door, so it's now easy to turn the ceiling lights off as you exit the garage through the main door. And the remote at the side door still works perfectly. Great value.

Though I had considerable difficulty installing the receiver for these due to the rewiring needed to disconnect the original wall switch and squeeze the receiver inside the ceiling light's electrical box, but these wireless wall switches install easily. The backing plate has holes for the screws to attach to the threaded holes of the box that held the original wall switch, covering and protecting the no longer used switch wiring. Getting the receiver to recognize this new wireless switch was easy, and just as easy for each additional wireless switch. Just press the button on the receiver and when the LED flashes, push the ON button of the new or additional wall switch. Repeat the process for each wireless switch before mounting the light fixture, since this covers access to the receiver LED and button. I have 4 switches controlling one light now without adding wiring inside the walls.

I converted something I did years ago too wireless. Cuz I've been wishing I had a switch on my deck for my shed lights. And I came across this, gave it a try and I'm happy with the results. It was super easy to program in with the others. And I now have a 4 way. It's nice to be able to turn my lights on and off from my house.

Installed buttons at first did not work well. The buttons had to be pushed several times. Also there are brands that work without batteris
