These work very well!
Before I bought these, I used to use those cheap, brightly colored, compressable foam-type earplugs that kind of worked, but not really. I am glad I bought these. So much better. These came as two sets: the first pair is just a wee bit larger than the second pair, but there's really not that much difference. Both pairs work just fine in my average size adult ears. The larger pair came fully plugged, with a removable "attenuator" that you can take out and install in the smaller earplugs if you prefer to use that pair instead. But here's what I really like: 1) with the attenuators installed, the plugs are VERY efficient. I use them when I'm backpacking and want to sleep without being awakened by the sounds of critters like skunks/raccoons/rodents/bears!/whatever!!! walking around just outside my tent at 2 AM. Also, 2) I use the plugs without the attenuators (which means the plugs now have a small hole in them that still allows some sound- enough to have a conversation- to come through) when I visit my elderly parents on Sundays to watch the football game with my dad. My parents are both losing their hearing, and their TV is SO CRAZY LOUD I almost hate going over there, (especially with the absolutely ridiculous over-the-top NFL sound effects that are louder than the announcers, if you know what I mean! But these plugs without the attenuators are the PERFECT solution to that. Not only that, they are also clear and threfore quite discreet, so I don't worry about offending my parents. Five stars for saving my sanity on Sundays, for not offending Mom and Dad, and for allowing me to sleep better on solo trips into the backcountry.

TOTAL KEEPERS!!! Saved my ears!!
I literally tried them out last night at my band rehearsal.... AND BOY WAS I HAPPY I GOT THEM!!! What a difference!!!! I could still here everything, I didn't hurt my voice yelling, and best of all, I protected my ears!! of course, they are not in ear monitors per se, so It was a bit hard to listen to my voice coming from the speakers with all the other sounds of the instruments and amps... but in the end, rehearsal went much better with them on, than without. Totally recommended!! Worth the price (because I had tried others before that where an uncomfortable fit and would fall out and block out too much noise... these are a great fit because of the x-mas tree shape. 2 thumbs up from me!

Great earplugs! used for a BTS concert (which are known to be EXTREMELY LOUD)
fit well, stayed in ears for the most part, tended to come out a little when dancing and jumping up and down way too much. transparent, and also easy to clean. my friend recommended this, because it worked for her too. Could still hear the music and singing very well. this is great for ear protection!

the best purchase I've made
I BRAGGED about these earplugs all weekend. This was by far, as a musician/performer/concert-goer, the best purchase I've made. First of all, customer service went above and beyond when -after reading reviews, and having small ear canals- I asked if I could order a smaller version of their Pinkies, they happily sent a pair to me along with the original ear plugs. I have tried both and honestly they both are effective and comfortable and I am very happy with my purchase. I went to two shows this weekend and I swear every single one of my friends complained about how loud the venue was, and I just smiled and showed off my Pinkies!! I got to enjoy the bands and dance right up close to the speakers without losing the quality sound of the bands. I can't say anything bad about them, except I couldn't get them out of the little container sometimes but I just shoved a bobby pin up there and they came right out!!!MY EARS THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Not impressed
I bought these upon recommendation for a concert (BTS!) but was not overly impressed. They DID reduce the volume of the music and the crowd, which was good for my ears, but they also seemed to slightly muffle the singing and talking, which was not ideal for my experience. So I ended up using them intermittently during the concert -- like between songs, or sometimes during really loud songs, but only partway in my ears. Also, I thought the carrying case would be so clever and cute and useful, but I actually came to hate it, because the earbuds got stuck in there and were very hard to get out.I cannot see myself using these again, so I'm either going to return these, or clean them and offer them to someone else who might like them better.

They work well for my needs!
I am a musician and are often in live settings with decibels of 70-80 and I also work on IT data centers that are always very loud. Over the years I suffer from non-stop tinnitus and it has been getting worse. These little ear buds do a great job of cutting the loud from the sounds yet still allowing me to hear to play and do things like have conversations while in the data centers. It took a little while for me to get the hang of inserting them correctly but now it is a piece of cake. Nothing can repair the damage that I have to my hearing, but I can use these to prevent more of the same going forward. I would spend this much all over again to have these results!

If I could post negative stars I would. Not ...
If I could post negative stars I would. Not conducive to sleeping in any way shape or form!! I should have sent them back but found returning things difficult in the past so I just don't.

Very Uncomfortable Ear Protection
These may work for some people, I found that they were too large (even the smaller size), and I really can’t give a read on the noise canceling, as I could never get them to sit comfortably in my ears. I am a female, and I would have to guess that they might work better for a man, or someone with larger ear canals. A waste of money from my standpoint .
