Easy peasy
Excellent for what it is. Can you filter lots of water? No. Can you filter water for yourself? Yes. Any outdoor activity, you already have a water bottle, why not have one that saves you from turning your shorts into the aftermath of a day at Taco Bell.

Seems fine though I am not a doctor nor a scientist
I cannot tell you, as the video does, to go to rough-hewn regions and use this to drink what might be non-potable water. I bought it because, although our tap water is technically treated, if you were to fill a bottle with it (depending on the tap source) it might be cloudy with sediment before it settles to the bottom. The instructions are simple, perhaps a little too general actually. After it is prepared for use, drinking out of it is not like regular sport bottle drinking, as it requires a gentle bit of squeezing the bottle to get it past the filter, but that is how it works. For my purposes, the water seems fine and it's handy for keeping next to the bathroom sink instead of using bottled water.

Handy for camping and preparedness
I have just tested this to make sure it functions. I have not used it in the "wild" but the filter looks like the real deal and the bottle works well. It's not overly large or bulky so would be good for camping or backpacking. Also good to have around if you need to filter water in an emergency.

Unhappy with the quality
Looks like substantial quality metal but is flimsy black plastic.

Pricey, but works!
This is something I've wanted to help add to my emergency food/storage supply for some time. I have a traditional water filter, but how much easier is it to have a water bottle that filters? When you get this, it's pretty much wrapped in a a cardboard box, with the front being open showing the product. Otherwise, you pretty much see a basic water bottle. When you unscrew the lid, you then see the filter, which goes about 1 1/2 - 2 inches down. The filter itself easily unscrews, which makes it easy to replace. Per the instructions, it says you need to flush the filter for 15 minutes prior to use. Pretty typical for a filter like this, but, still, a little annoying to have to do. The packaging does state it can filter as much as 400 single use bottles, and up to 200 liters of water. Pretty impressive. How does it work? We have a fresh water lake nearby that isn't terribly clean. I wanted to see how well it did. The water in the lake is pretty clear still, but from what I know of what's been done in the past in the lake, I wouldn't want to drink It until after it was filtered. After putting the water bottle into the lake to fill (which took a bit), I let it sit for a few minutes. The instructions didn't say this was required, but I figured I'd do so anyway to see if anything settled on the bottom of the bottle. As expected, nothing was actually at the bottom of the water bottle, after I unscrewed the lid, and pulled out the attached filter. I tried drinking the water, and I can't say it tasted much different than my tap water. Obviously, I don't have a microscope to see if there are still organisms or something hanging out in the water, but the filter does claim to filter 99.9999% of all microbiological and contaminants. I assume it worked. The price is definitely high compared to a traditional water bottle, but it's not really bad when you take into account the filtering technology. Well worth the price, and something I'd highly recommend.

Should be in every emergency bag
Water that won't make me sick is a priority for both my family and our animals. Many years ago, whenever camped in Italy, we could count on getting violently ill for three days straight after using the local water even just for brushing our teeth. Now that I am older I don't think that my body would handle that too well, so clean, safe water is a must for me. This Water To Go bottle solves the problem of iffy drinking water when I am away from home and definitely solves it when out in the woods and running out of water for both me and the dogs. It is very simple to use, just soak the dry filter for 15 minutes before starting to drink, but once the filter is saturated that wait period is not necessary.I have carried similar filter bottles and filter straws with me for years now and have never gotten sick. That means they work.

Absolute rubbish bottle made me very sick!
I bought this brand new just recently for a trip to use in Vietnam. I followed all the instructions including soaking the filter overnight and then flushing correctly. I flew to Ho Chi Minh on the 21/07 and tried drinking the municipal tap water using the bottle through the filter. The taste seemed okay and I trusted the bottle would keep me healthy. The very next day evening I was having multiple bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea which made me very weak and unwell. I barely had any energy to explore the city due to the sickness. Luckily I have recovered. I would NEVER trust this product again to use on municipal tap water let alone out in dirty lakes and/or rivers. Please stay away and consider buying a better bottle (read some peoples’ opinions of this bottle and company on reddit if you don’t believe me). I am highly regretting not paying more money to invest in a trustworthy bottle like a Grayl.
