works great on my antique power tools. Old cords were dry, cracked and nasty.

I replaced the cord on a miter saw. Had to splice into existing wire. The wire will get the job done as far as carrying the amperage. It would be better for its intended purpose if it had a reinforcing strand [called a "messenger" I think] built into the wire to reduce strain on the conductors. I could not make the stranded wire from either the purchased cord or the existing cord to stick into the fasteners. I used my own fasteners.

The surprise connectors were a pleasant bonus. Seems to be a safe and sturdy cord. It worked perfectly in my situation, of replacing a damaged space heater cord. I have kept an "eye" on it and it is not getting warm, and shown no signs of any problem.
