Are these sturdy and grippy for long hikes in varied terrain such as Zion?

I don't know because they were too small to go hiking. Normally wear a sz7 but reviews advised they run small so ordered 71/2 and they are tight even with thin socks. Unfortunately, I waited too long to return so I'm sending them to Matthew 25. I was really disappointed as I heard such good things about KEEN and this was my first purchase. I doubt that I'll ever try KEEN again, especially if I can't try on before buying.

What kind of alternative do you have to the shoe strings that came with shoes. Shoes fit great but could not keep them tied.

I would suggest to go into aREI or a camping store that sells boots and see what they have. I have a pair of low rise keen shoes and the shoe strings are great. Some times you just have touch them on a brick and moter store.

How do i find the correct size in these? keen women's shoes come in sizes us 5 to 11, but amazon is showing a rage of 7 to 15 which can't be right.
