Finance for Non-Financial Managers (Briefcase Books Series)

The book does an excellent job explaining accounting/finance terms to the non-financial manager. I am a small business owner and reading this book has provided me with the tools I need to keep my finance clear and also to understand better what kind of information to look for and ask the CPA for a better decision making. Great book.!

I never took a finance class but they always intimidated me. This book built my confidence. I never knew a book could be interesting and informative on this boring subject but it was great. I liked it so much i ordered a hard copy in addition to the one i read on my kindle.I start finance classes next month at Baruch College and feel much more prepared. I recommend anyone working in a management role to read this.

I need to understand the numbers of our companies, though I am not directly involved with them. This book gives me the understanding I need to look at the basic numbers and know where the finances are heading.

Give this book five stars. For some reason Amazon inserted only three into my review.I teach graduate level finance for non-financial managers. I have searched many titles in an attempt to find an easy to understand finance book for students. Thank you, Gene!The book translates the language of numbers into easy to understand English. Financial concepts are provided in a step-by-step method so that the reader develops skills that may be used immediately.The book is an easy read with a light touch of humor so that even the non-financial student can grasp and understand difficult topics. Two examples of the way this is approached: "He bit who?" translates to EBITDA; and the checklist for managers at the end of each chapter provides valuable tips for the reader.

Great book

A clearly written book that lives up to its title. It is a helpful reference for me in my transition to a new career in business.

the book was great, taught the basics of income statements and had some tips on how to manage business money. However the book was shipped bent and had unknown taint marks on them. Then again they were 1 cent with 3.99 shipping.

I found this book to be practical and relevant for business professionals who may not have gone to business school.

A great, easy to read book with well explained example financial reports to make understanding much easier. A must for those who want to know more, but don't yet know the lingo. Highly recommended, easy and quick read.
