I bought this to replace an older, wider flat iron. It works beautifully. Salon results. My hair is thick, even after my stylist thinned it a little bit. I noticed she used a thinner flat iron so thought I'd give this one a try. I'm impressed & highly recommend.

I have a flatiron that I love, but I needed a dual-voltage flatiron for upcoming international travel. This flatiron is excellent. It heats up quickly, has a wide range of temperature options, and a digital temperature display. It straightened my hair easily and quickly with NO pulling. I was also able to easily curl my hair with this flatiron. It has a swivel cord so it's easy to move all around my head without my getting all twisted up in the cord - but the cord is also quite a bit shorter than what I'm used to. The texture and color are very nice - I particularly like the "nonslip" feel to it.The only reason that I took off one star is that the flatiron I received makes a relatively loud static noise while it is powered on. I thought that might go away once it reached my chosen temperature, but it didn't - it made that loud, distracting static noise the entire time. I still really like this flatiron because it works great and is dual-voltage so I will use it to travel this summer -- but given the noise, I wouldn't want to use it everyday.

Heats up quickly. Easy to use. Gets the job done. Very satisfied.

It has a simple 3 button design consisting of an on/off power switch, increase and decrease temperature control buttons. This design makes it easy to operate and once the temperature is selected; it quickly heats. The Techmeri Hair Straightener (flat iron) is compact, efficient, and comes with a velvet pouch for storage and travel.My favorite features are the large illuminated light displaying the temperature, automatic shut off, safety lock, and the swivel cord. The display shows you the exact temperature of the iron allowing you to adjust incrementally to avoid overheating your hair. I like the 60 minute auto shut off but I wish it shut off at the 30 minute mark if its inactive. I think an hour is a long time and a shorter period would be safer and more energy efficient.I also like to store my flat-iron using the safety lock. It is a great safety precaution as it prevents me from reaching down and grabbing the wrong end of the iron and being burned by the flat iron plates. And last, the swivel cord is such a basic feature but its helpful when you are styling from multiple angles; you don’t have to worry about the cord getting tangled. I am really impressed that this flat iron has a lot of well thought out features, it performs extremely well, and leaves your hair shiny.I am really happy with this product. It’s easy to hold, light weight, travel friendly, and it works well on thick coarse hair. This flat iron would make a great gift and I would highly recommend it to others.

The red and black color is nice to look at. The plates heat up quickly, about 45 seconds it was at full heat. It did pull my hair a little though on the glide down. The grooves around the plate snags easily. I do like the 1 inch size and that it gets close to the roots. It did an okay job but I've tried better straighteners than this one.

My old straightener kept pulling my hair.. this one doesn’t at all.. great price too! It heats quickly and works well

I use the lowest setting possible and only do one pass of the iron , this iron still straightens my hair and imparts a lovely shine with this method. It hasnt damaged my hair at all which is amazing. Definitely a great little styling tool, easy to use and easy to maintain. Definitely recommend this product.

The media could not be loaded.  This straightener worked good for 2 months then it just stopped heating up. Very disappointed 😞

After 6 months of use it just died, I used this maybe 3 times a week for very curly hair which it did work well when it worked. No heat after 6months of use.

Broke after 6 mos. Plus the on/off button was always getting turned off with use of it.. poor design
