I made a shelf for outdoor use out of scrap plastic composite decking left over from re-doing my front porch. I replaced the bottom legs with shorter nipples so the electrical outlet would be accessible.I doubled up the decking where the flanges attach. I sawed the fluting off in order to have a flat surface to screw to.Measure carefully, and drill pilot holes for the screws. Get all 6 screws started, then tighten them all down.The end product is very sturdy. It bears my entire weight without wobbling when I sit on it.

First off this product couldn’t be any more greasy and rusty. Hopefully you have an update tetanus shot. Secondly. The screws that are include are an inch and half long. Hopefully your wood is thicker than that. The holes for the screws to go into place are also super wide. The shorter ones I had on hand all fell through.

Paired with three Ikea tabletops for a space to fold and store laundry. No issues with shipment or included hardware - only added rubber pads to the feet to keep everything still on the tiled floor. Don’t overlook the description that they come coated in industrial grease because, yeah, they need a good scrub before anything else.

Some parts came very rusty others did not. Going to try and remove as much rust as possible so that it’s not noticeable

This hardware made building this set of shelves super easy and perfect for under my window storage. I love the look of the black pipe and it was easy to build with just some hardwood lumber from my local hardware store. Strong enough to store of my canning overflow and yet attractive enough to make a nice display. I like that it has feet to keep it up off the floor enough to sweep under.

You should know these are covered in oil/grease. To be fair, when you cut regular pipe and thread it that is how they are. I just don't have time/energy to clean every one of these for my project and I know regular house dust is going to stick to that no matter how well I clean it for quite awhile to come.I will pay a little more to get clean ones.

I used stair treads from lowes. They are 13 bucks and measure 11.5 x 48 inches long and are a inch thick. There was a light coat of oil on the pipes..I cleaned off and then sprayed the pieces with clear spray to keep from rustingThe included screws worked perfect.. but was 6 short so had to get more The ones included in mine were like black drywall screws which worked great into the pine I used. I didn't even pre drill and just used a screwdriver. For about 75 bucks invested..I love how this turned out. If you bought the pipe pieces at lowes it would be one 200 bucks..I looked it up. Great deal! Highly recommended
